Xabi Alonso was a man who every single Chelsea fan believed wouldn't be attainable because of the state our club was in after what was a truly tumultuous season that once had Liam Rosenior and Callum McFarlane in charge, leading to a 10th place finish and no European football. Xabi Alonso was a man who Chelsea fans had at the very top of their "dream managerial target". No Chelsea fan in their wildest dreams believed that a manager of the calibre, class, quality and aura of Xabi Alonso would ever want to join us in the state we were in. The unthinkable happened and Alonso took charge of our club. He walked into an absolute mess, a mess we never thought would clear up. We wanted a change in club culture, squad overhaul, a change in transfer policy, more control from our manager, sporting restructure from top to bottom... All of these things would never have changed had it not been for Xabi Alonso. 4 years worth of mess was never going to be fixed and completed after 11 games... So please, all you fans who are now wanting the head of a man who has completely transformed our club from the bottom up, if this is still not good enough for you, then this club and manager ain't for you. I started this journey with Alonso and I am never aborting this train. I'm with you till the very end gaffer and those who aren't, don't snake your way in when the good times have been resurfaced again. My gaffer 👊🏼💙.
