For anyone who cares about generating 3D assets that they dream up - for free and on their machine: In about a month we've had 14 major features, 21 releases, support go from Mac to Nvidia (Windows + Linux) + AMD (Linux), 16 contributors, ~980 stars, ~3800 unique clones, 650 commits (not including about 400 before that), and at least 18 sleepless nights. One recurring theme in that is open source image to 3d has a pretty high hardware gate and not everyone can access it.
AssetFurnace Cloud is my way of giving people access to the world of 3D for as low cost as possible. The service will go live soon. Reserve your spot for $1 and lock in 20 cents per generated character for 6 months. Pay only for what you generate.
It'll probably cost me more than that per character, but I wanted to give back and pay it forward. Hence 100 early access spots.
Lock it in now: assetfurnace.com/cloud
We want more game devs and creators to be able to build in the world of 3D, so we're opening early sign-ups for AssetFurnace Cloud - same open-source pipeline, just run for you on the cloud.
Our pricing is what it costs + a little more to handle fees and other expenses. That's about 20c for a rigged and animated character up to 100 characters per month - for the first 100 folks who sign up. Locked in for 6 months. $1 reserves your spot and comes back in character credits anyway!
Why? At AssetFurnace the goal is to build an amazing open source pipeline for generating 3D assets for any purpose. We've been building on the shoulders of giants who do great work, but right now most open source solutions have a hardware gate. I've heard the complaints many times in the comments and messages.
While we are working towards reducing the RAM and hardware requirements to run these image to 3d engines, there's plenty of devs, builders and creators who still need access to affordable 3D assets.
While other established cloud providers are doing a good job, asset generation with them at scale can get expensive quickly. Even prototyping should be viable.
Updates to the pipeline get auto pushed to the cloud. If you have the hardware to run image to 3d models, great. If not, still great! :D
I'm super grateful to everyone who is following along, engaging, sharing and contributing. These 100 slots are my way of giving back!

Excited to work with Payward to forge a path for onchain derivatives built on Hyperliquid's infrastructure. Kraken is one of the most trusted and respected exchanges in crypto. They are also true believers in the technology and crypto ethos. We're honored that they are building on Hyperliquid to bring the next evolution of perpetual markets to the United States.
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, announced its intention to be the first CFTC-regulated deployer on HIP-3* markets. Payward will use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer to deploy perpetual futures markets for US clients. Subject to regulatory approval, Bitnomial, Payward’s CFTC-regulated DCM and DCO, would act as the HIP-3* deployer: creating, owning, and administering the markets and clearing and settling the contracts. If approved, NinjaTrader Clearing, Payward’s CFTC-registered FCM, would carry client accounts.
HIP-3 will support optional deployer configuration for permissioned markets in a future network upgrade. This set of additional deployer functionality is collectively called HIP-3*. At its core, HIP-3* activation involves an onchain allowlist managed by the deployer or its sub-deployers. The functionality is strictly additive to HIP-3; its use is optional and up to the deployer. Existing markets remain unchanged. The initial release is available on testnet, where specifications are preliminary and subject to change based on feedback.
Hyperliquid is a neutral infrastructure layer with the goal of supporting large parts of the financial system. HIP-3* gives deployers additional functionality to operate deployments consistent with the requirements applicable to them. As with HIP-3, HIP-3* deployers are independent operators who use Hyperliquid as the onchain infrastructure layer for their own markets, while retaining control and responsibility over their deployment.

What's the point of making 3D characters that you're not sure will work in your game? Just to ensure that the characters that AssetFurnace churns out are game viable, I've been experimenting with small demos.
We have free 3D models for you to get started with and you can build as many as you want since its free and on your machine anyway! Windows + Linux (NVIDIA + AMD) and Mac too!
This is a completely unoptimised demo just to see how the animated and rigged characters fare in different scenarios.
Over the top lighting, random props and texture - just going ham with godot.
If you're a game dev or want to experiment with 3D - assetfurnace.com might just be for you!
You have a test environment use-case in mind? Let me know in the comments and I'll build and ship one out to you.

“…and every trade that runs through your pool pays you a little, all day, every day.”
Wrote about this in the newsletter a while back. Tokenized stocks are going to bring an insane amount of volume to chains, and this is exactly what I meant.
Every venue that wants to trade these stocks needs the issuer's sign off. The SEC gave issuers a window to object to their shares trading on a venue, and that window is the whole game. xStocks has grown massively in the past 6 months, and it has done it the respectful way, issuer by issuer. That is why they are the ones adding pools by the thousand.
Now look at what is stacking up on Ink. Ink + xStocks + the Hyperliquid partnership + the TGE + a Kraken IPO. That is a lot of speculation pointed at one chain.
The builders at @inkfndhq, people like @cruelhandeth, are already building the unique products that capture this volume, like @Quotrons404.
My angle in all of it is the liquidity. Liquidity providers are the vending machine owners of tokenized stocks. You stock the machine once, and every trade that runs through your pool pays you a little, all day, every day. When this volume shows up, I want to own the machines.

more to come, lots of big announcements and changes coming... stay tuned on whats happening on @inkonchain
1,000+ xStocks are now native on Ink.
the goal: make Ink the best place on EVM to build with tokenized stocks.
Swap them on @tydroHQ. Build with them on Ink.
Thanks @xStocksFi 🤝.

NFTs are an area of crypto that i think deserves another look
the 2021 boom and subsequent crash left a lot of people with a negative view of them, but the underlying concept still makes sense to me
as more businesses move onchain, NFTs could become a useful way to represent ownership, experiment with revenue sharing and build communities around products
i expect there's still a lot of room for experimentation beyond the NFT models we saw last cycle
