Came out of Lime Street and walked up a street called London Road. My God nobody takes any notice of pavement or yellow lines. Everyone is in the bars cafes, shops. It's 2 lanes but pedestrian struggling to get past.

US Preclearance is a marvel: go through passports and customs in Europe, then when you arrive in America you are a domestic passenger and need not stand in line for two hours. And at last it may be coming to a UK airport. But not Heathrow, the obvious one.
