Now that's one of the main things I love about Batman.
He can face a variety of foes, from human, sub-human, superhuman, mystical, magical, alien, natural, supernatural.
You name it, Batman has fought it.
And I love that.
The Batman: The Animated Series episode "Prophecy of Doom" debuted this month (on Oct. 6) in 1992. Batman investigates Nostromos, a scam artist predicting the fall of civilization so he can bilk Gotham City's elite of their fortunes, in this season one episode! #BatmanTAS #Batman

#OTD October 27th, 1966 - @StarTrek "Miri" premiered.
The Enterprise discovers a planet exactly like Earth, but the only inhabitants are children who contract a fatal disease upon entering puberty.
The outdoor scenes of this episode were filmed on the same back lot streets that were also used to create Mayberry on @AndyGriffithShw (1960), except that the streets were piled with debris and dirt to create the appearance that the town was in ruins. Several building exteriors familiar from Mayberry can be seen in those exterior shots including the courthouse, Walker's Drugstore, the Grand movie theater, Floyd's barber shop, and the Mayberry Hotel. The ser will appear again in "The Return of the Archons" "The City on the Edge of Forever".
This is also the 1st episode to have it filmed in a outdoor set overall.
