I will return the money since the owner asked nicely and whereas it’s not my money. If I decide to run away with it, they fit still catch me and then I will become a crim!nal so it’s of no use.
I will gladly return the money and take the one am given to for the stress, it’s still a plus for me and is a free money.

My boss once made a mistake and transferred N36.7m to a wrong account through the bureau de change man.
One Friday evening, we went to exchange $ to Naira in a bureau office for a property that he purchased.
After confirming the amount in $ by the Bureau man, my boss gave him the account to make the Naira transaction to and the man did, little did we know that it was a wrong account that he gave him. After the man did the transfer then my boss called the receiver to confirm and she said she's yet to receive anything and we waited for few minutes she still said nothing, that was when my boss decided to recheck the account, lo and behold there was a mix up. It happened that the reciever bears almost same name with a lady that works at MTN office where we first went to renew his router subscription...The way my boss shouted Jesus Christ in oral English coz he's an abroad based I nearly fainted before him sef 😂 Man was covered with hot heat and restless then his driver was like he should call the young lady since he has her number to confirm if she actually received it but before that we have called the two banks customer care and they said there's nothing they can do from there except the receiver gives consent like WTF is wrong with Nigerian banks sometimes 😒 so we called the lady and she actually said yes that she's shocked where and how such money came to her and my boss explained to her how it happened and that she should please cooperate with him that he will settle her afterwards. It was already late evening that Friday and banks has closed for the day and it's weekend also which means the money will be in the lady's account till Monday for the transaction. My boss, me and his driver was restless coz who knows she might change her mind or if she tells someone about it, the person might convince her to corner the funds.
We kept hope alive. My boss flight back to the States was that Sunday and he can't miss it cox he has something important to catch up with over there, so he trusted the money to his PA, Me & his Driver with the bureau guy cox he has to be present on the transaction day. On Monday, we called the lady and she actually answered, we picked her up and went straight to the bank and she gave her consent to pull out the money and transfer to the right account.
My boss later sorted the lady out for the stress and she was happy...
