Also sometimes the only sound I want to hear is the music I’m writing, so it’s like… taking a coffee break and listening to potentially stressful audio is just not gonna happen. Also those of you who know me know I write back to email at light speed.

this industry is a revolving door and those of us who worked tirelessly to uplift the underheard are collectively been told that what we do is no longer lucrative or worthy of appraisal. i for one dream of finding the means of joining forces and proving them wrong

It's an absolute travesty that @songtradr has reportedly laid off half of the @Bandcamp staff. Seeing heartbreaking tweets from some of the kindest, most-hardworking, brilliant people in the industry looking for new work. Why destroy such a vibrant community? Total bullshit.

When you get off the plane with the legendary Joan Baez you know it’s a movement of the spirit. She stands with us in our struggle in Tennessee and said she’s hopeful to see young voices leading.
