Odie is at the vet for his neurology consult. He’s hearing & visual impaired and has been having seizures, despite being on anti-seizure medication. He had a pretty bad seizure early this morning and seizures are so awful to witness. The plan today is to do an MRI and a spinal
tap. His estimate for today only is $3,825-4,675. We’ll hopefully have answers soon but please send all the good vibes and thoughts his way ❤️

This precious family are recent owner surrenders to us & were living with Ellie (the Pug who is walking on her elbows). This Terrier momma, now named Nelly, tried so hard to take good care for her babies until sarcoptic mange made its way into their life & nearly covered their
better. Nelly is about 3 years old & she’s also heartworm positive. Her babies are only about 6-7 weeks old. Their dad was a Pug who was given away before we could help him. We’ve named these pups Kelly, Billy & Chilli and we can’t wait to show this entire family better lives.

In 8 short weeks, Alfredo has been through so much. His tiny body was defeated and giving up on him. Whenever we rescue a dog from the street, we never know what’s going on internally, so majority of the time, we send them straight to the ER for an assessment. That protocol has
removed. Once his skin is all healed, he may require a distal tail amputation, but we will see how he does. Alfredo is on the road to recovery but it’s just sad he got this way to begin with. The saddest fact is that there are plenty more dogs and puppies suffering on our streets
of Houston and Cleveland, TX and they don’t get so lucky. It’s an endless and heartbreaking battle.

Lydia was rescued two months ago from Cleveland, TX. In her short eight months on this planet, Lydia was never properly cared for. She developed mange and skin infections, she contracted heartworms, she was anemic and dehydrated, she scrounged for food, and she didn’t know what
She LOVES other dogs, she is house/kennel trained and she doesn’t bark in her kennel. She’s about 38 lbs and she’s about to start heartworm treatment. Lydia can finish treatment with an approved local applicant or she can travel in three months to an approved out of state
