I suspect it has to do with his bolt upright stance and general ATT trends with wrestlers in how they are taught to strike and defend. Watch Gamrot and see same issues.
There is also this MMA idea that defensive footwork means moving away from the opponent instead of in at an an angle, or moving away in a non threatening way.
These points compound which send him running around and in bad position to eat punches.

No I don’t know where to find you?? I’ve literally never seen you anywhere other than around the cage or in the cage post fight. I’m bothered by your lack of research and knowledge whilst commentating. Your “expert” commentary sways the opinions of average fans, and that has a profound effect on our lives. Your clear bias towards fighters from the caucus region is frustrating, especially being an American fighter.
