Prior to yesterday's EmergencyAlert on Alberta's rolling power blackouts & today's revelation that at least 7 power plants were offline, I'm guessing most of us did not know that electricity generators are allowed to hold back electricity in order to get a higher price from AESO.

The devastating loss of innocent Palestinian life and humanitarian catastrophe resulting from Israel’s bombardment and siege of Gaza cannot be morally justified.
The evil of Hamas cannot be paid by the civilians of Gaza.
I repeat my call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, for the release of hostages, and for aid to reach people in dire need.

We have around 600 inpatients
We have around 37 premature babies
We have around 17 patients in the ICU

They all need medical care.

I’m so sickened by the massacre happening in Gaza. No one can defend the atrocities of Hamas on Oct. 7. But no one can defend the violent retribution of the State of Israel. With the support of the US, and bombs made in the USA, and funds from the US, the State of Israel is bombing hospitals and homes, schools and churches… and cutting off the water supply to Gaza.
Killing kids is evil, no matter who is doing it. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Violence only begets more violence. Pain that is not transformed gets transmitted… The terrorized have become the terrorizers.
