My weekly market review is not just:
"What went up?"
I'm tracking three things instead:
1. What changed in the macro narrative?
2. Which assets confirmed the move?
3. Which trades stopped working?
A market can rise while risk quietly deteriorates underneath.
What did you notice this week?
Today: +0.9%, ahead of 2 of 3 benchmarks (S&P 500 +0.7%, Bitcoin −0.2%, NSDQ100 +1.8%).

Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
$1.006 trillion wiped from the Magnificent Seven in one session.
$NVDA: -$431B (-8.85%)
$TSLA: -$181B (-11.88%)
$MSFT: -$123B (-2.96%)
$AAPL: -$85B (-1.66%)
$GOOGL: -$65B (-1.84%)
$AMZN: -$61B (-2.11%)
$META: -$60B (-4.26%)
Nasdaq closed -5.52% on Thursday.
After a move this large, a bounce alone won't tell us whether the selling is done.

Jobs Friday.
A strong number is not automatically bearish.
A weak number is not automatically bullish.
The real market reaction depends on the combination:
— payroll growth;
— unemployment;
— wages;
— what it does to rate expectations.
One headline rarely tells the whole story.

Nov 4 looked quiet for spot Bitcoin ETFs.
+$74.6M net. Under the hood, $FBTC took in $236.7M while $IBIT bled $201.2M.
Nov 5 was not quiet.
Net: -$430.2M
Fidelity $FBTC: -$199.9M
BlackRock $IBIT: -$105.0M
ARK $ARKB: -$18.9M
Grayscale $GBTC: -$49.9M
One day of rotation. Next day, broad outflows.

$APP did $2.19B in revenue last quarter.
$1.44B of it was net income. That's 66 cents of every dollar.
Free cash flow: $1.42B.
Revenue growth: +55%.
And it spent $1.4B buying back its own stock in the same quarter.
Fast growth or high margins, most companies get one. This quarter AppLovin got both. The real question is who comes for that margin first: competitors or regulators.

Yesterday the Dow jumped ~1,600 points on the midterm rally.
Today it gave them all back.
Nasdaq about -5%
S&P about -3.8%
$SOXX about -11%
$AMD about -15%, $NVDA about -9%
Bitcoin back under $76k
One day after the election party, the tape is pricing a slower AI buildout.

Jobless claims are usually a second-tier release.
Not this week.
After a volatile payrolls setup, every labour-market number can move rate expectations.
The market does not need a recession signal to reprice.
It only needs evidence that the Fed has less room than investors assumed.
Data matters. Reaction functions matter more.
Send me a DM if you want to try it on the test server ;)

$74.6M into spot Bitcoin ETFs on Nov 4 looks like a quiet day.
It wasn't.
Fidelity $FBTC: +$236.7M
BlackRock $IBIT: -$201.2M
Same day, Ether ETFs flipped to +$53.0M after five days of outflows. BlackRock $ETHA led with +$32.8M.
The headline is net inflows. The story is rotation between issuers.

A year ago, data center was 47% of $AMD revenue.
Last night it was 64%.
For 2027, AMD expects more than 80%.
Data center: $8.5B, up 97%.
Gaming: $773M, down 40%.
When one segment nearly doubles, a 40% drop somewhere else barely shows up in the total. That's what a mix shift looks like.

Strong revenue is not enough anymore.
Investors are asking a harder question:
What is the return on the next dollar of capex?
If AI spending keeps accelerating but free cash flow keeps weakening, the market will eventually demand proof.
Growth is still valuable.
Expensive growth without discipline is not.
Asia just fit a full week into one session.
SK Hynix: +5.6% at the open, -6.8% by lunch, closed -0.1%.
Samsung: +3.9%, then -5.2%, closed -0.7%.
KOSPI: down into the 5,400s, closed up 0.6%.
Nikkei: -4.7% at the low, closed -1.4%.
Same companies, same earnings. Only the US vote count moved.
On days like this the close tells you less than the range.

Midterms are done. Here's what history says, and what it doesn't.
Since 1950 the S&P 500 was higher 12 months after all 19 midterms.
Median gain: +14.5%.
Weakest: +1.1%, in 1986.
The part people skip: in 11 of those 19 years the index still fell more than 10% from a peak along the way.
A good base rate isn't a smooth ride.

$10,000 copying me on eToro from 1 Mar 2024 would be worth +55.2% today: #3 of 8 (Gold +92.5%, NSDQ100 +56.3%, S&P 500 +48.6%, SWDA.L +42.6%).
