So we've been working on this record since March 2020 (timing is pure coincidence). Today, we let it out into the world, through our own little independent label For The Living And The Dead. We hope it can help bring you a small slice of joy and peace💛💙

Thus Owls' aim is not just to feature a glossy smear of horns, but to invent a startling musical language—one which reflects roots in jazz and improv, and their dream of a vivid, interwoven sound.

Don Cherry's approach to music was so rooted in the human experience. I love this recollection of his.
A friend just described our music as "ECM Indie rock". You know what? I'll take it. See you tonight Malmö
