The Texas Southern Tigers are going into a bye week, but head coach Cris Dishman says it won't be a bye week for his team after an 0-3 SWAC start. It will be practice and business as usual.

Film room after a rough Labor Day Classic:
• Can’t gift PV 17 before you blink
• 3rd quarter got away - that was the game
• Cam’Ron + Ri’Jon found paydirt - need that fight for 4 quarters
No panic. No excuses. Answer next game.

Texas Southern’s Ocean of Soul trolled Prairie View A&M’s Marching Storm ahead of tomorrow’s Labor Day Classic:
The rule is play can resume 30 minutes after
the last sound of thunder is heard or the last strike of lightning is seen. Every new sound/strike resets that timer.
Can resume sooner if they’ve got a pro meteorologist on call using the realtime data but doubt that’s there
Being told that Labor Day Classic play will resume from the weather delay at 12:50 pm CST. We will see.

Now that Prairie View and Texas Southern are good the Labor Day Classic takes on a bigger meaning worthy of a Sunday morning national ESPN2 stage.

“ This is not a year where this is a rebuilding year because you got a new coach. They came here to win. So as long as they want to put in the work, then that's what we're going to do.”

Corey Lowery on getting his players to buy in to his system.

Ashley Robinson was approved by a 5-2 count by the Board of Regents while it was unclear it seems that only Regent Johnson voted against the hire of Lowery. Johnson also voted no Robinson.

Members of the Texas Southern men's basketball team are already in the build with protest signs in tow for today's expected Board of Regents vote on the basketball and athletic hires. They have nothing against Corey Lowery but they want Shyrone Chatman, the man who recruited.
