European Athletics Championships - over and out ✅
One of the most incredible weeks I’ve had in my career so far, covering a major championships on home soil in the UK 🇬🇧
Nobody quite knew what Birmingham 2026 would bring but the championships was pretty spectacular, and it was a privilege to help tell stories of the athletes ✍️
Spoke to everyone from Keely Hodgkinson and Amy Hunt to Jazmin Sawyers and Nadia Battocletti, to name just a few 🎙️
The video views have gone well into seven-figures at @AthleticsWeekly and it’s been a joy to work with such an amazing team 🙌
On top of that we have been producing content with @NBRunning, so stay tuned for more immersive athlete interviews this week 📹
Also took part in the media race and, two days after cutting both of my knees on a canal bridge (🤦♂️) clocked an 800m PB of 2:29.35 🏃

A blood-letting of unprecedented scale in the Stretford End in that second-half.
“Sell United and fuck off home.”
“You can stick your new stadium up your arse.”
Bonfire chant for Glazers + Jim Ratcliffe.
Jason Wilcox also a target.
Players booed.

Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox should have no future at Manchester United. They have spectacularly failed at building a squad or appointing a manager and should be replaced.
One of the best thing I’ve ever watched on Netflix.
The writing is out of this world.

This is the saddest murder in the history of this show. I am absolutely GUTTED. Oh Miranda 😭😭😭 #CelebrityTraitors

I spoke to Peres Jepchirchir's agent Gianni Demadonna about her positive test for EPO. He said doping control officers initially were not granted access to her house on the day of her test and had to call him before they could be let in.

The 2016 Olympic marathon champion Jemima Sumgong and current world marathon record-holder Ruth Chepngetich are both serving bans.
So it’s pretty galling news to see Peres Jepchirchir, the Tokyo Olympic and reigning world marathon champion, now suspended.

It goes without saying but this is a massive story.
She is the Tokyo Olympic and world marathon champion + has major marathon wins in London, Boston and New York City.
Tested positive for EPO before she won the Sydney Marathon on August 30.
I thought Harry Brook’s 200 was remarkable but it’s somehow been overshadowed!
This chase is only bettered by that famous SA v Aus match from 2006, where SA chased down 435 in Johannesburg.

She made marathon podiums in Berlin, Dubai, Tokyo, New York, Sydney, and Vienna among others....
The AIU has banned Ruti Aga (Ethiopia) for 6 years from 15 March 2026 for Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (Methylprednisolone) and Tampering or Attempted Tampering. DQ results from 10 September 2026. Details here: bit.ly/Marathon-star-Aga-ban…

Michael Carrick now in peril but issues at #MUFC run far deeper. Glazers foundation for crumbling skyscraper; Ratcliffe gives unique challenges; Berrada, Wilcox + City links open to scrutiny.
Only run of results since INEOS arrived is interim Carrick ⬇️

There will be no quick fix with Man Utd and the Glazers will have to sell the club, with a new owner wiping free the debt, for everyone to move on from this never ending cycle of inconsistency.
But in the immediate term, after Michael Carrick likely loses his job, it is paramount Jason Wilcox is shown the door.
A staggering amount of incompetence and poor recruitment from INEOS.
Tim Adams retweeted
If this is Michael Carrick's last game, it better be Jason Wilcox's last at Manchester United too. His mess, his legacy, the team he oversaw, another coaching hire he was central to.
A club run by cretins & cowards.
Burst out laughing 🤣 so true
Rory Kinnear's prime minister in Netflix's The Diplomat has resigned midway through the fourth series because Britain having the same leader for four years was deemed too unrealistic.
