I took a swing this morning at something that felt worth exploring: What would it take to position Charlotte as a backup host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup if matches needed to be relocated? If there was even a 1% chance, I felt like we should be in the conversation.

Charlotte continues to punch above its weight on major events, and we’ll keep looking for ways to elevate our position on the global stage. Sometimes the answer is no. But sometimes asking positions you for the next yes.

One last note- not many cities you could reach out to business leaders in the morning they’d respond in the afternoon and you have an answer by that night. Perfect mix of a big city, feeling like a small town.

As someone who works closely with editors. This is impressive.

Anyone know someone in Scotland that can use 4 tickets to 3rd round of the #OpenChampionship? I’m more than willing to send them for free if someone can get to #Troon.

Murphy has been a part of every moment in me and Sam’s life. I’m sad that my buddy is gone forever, but I’m finding peace in all the love he shared with me, my girls and all our friends. Murphy curled up under the Christmas tree yesterday and passed away, one last unselfish move.
