How many Cubans without criminal records did @JamesUthmeierFL help detain, send to Alligator Alcatraz, and have DEPORTED to African countries in the past year? Was it hundreds? Was it thousands? How many?
And much money did his campaign profit selling Alcatraz merch? š¤”
Last week, my opponent described our state murder charges and arrest warrant for Raul Castro as nothing but a āpolitical smokescreen.ā
This is wrong and offensive to Florida and our Cuban community that has waited 30 years for justice.
Our charges have been filed, evidence assembled, and we are ready to prosecute a case against the communist dictator for ordering the murder of four Florida men.
We stand ready to support our federal partners in all ways as we push for a free Cuba and work hand-in-hand to seek justice and rule of law.
Describing this regime as anything other than a dictatorship is wrong and disqualifying.

We just learned more about Trumpās Venezuela oil deal, and hereās everything you need to know:
1. This deal is structured to hide the identities of people who stand to profit from it.
You donāt hide that unless you have a reason to. And the man whose firm Trump just bought a 35% stake in? Alejandro Betancourt, a Venezuelan billionaire who has faced several money-laundering investigations around the world.
2. Donāt expect cheaper gas anytime soon.
Experts have been telling us for MONTHS that oil production in Venezuela isnāt going to lower U.S. gas prices anytime soon. Betancourtās company is able to deliver as much oil in a year as the U.S. uses in a few days. Anyone promising this deal will bring down prices at the pump is selling you lies.
3. If thereās a legal fight over this agreement, it has to go through a Texas court that Trumpās DOJ has repeatedly turned to for favorable rulings.
4. This deal creates a board designed to be shielded from oversight and accountability. Trumpās own Treasury Secretary wasnāt able to give Congress basic answers or audits when he testified about Venezuela just last month. But we should blindly trust them now?
So letās recap: Americans arenāt going to feel relief at the pump. The identity of the people involved is conveniently hidden from us. And legal disputes go to a specific court that disproportionately rules in Trumpās favor.
Whatever you think American foreign policy towards Venezuela should be, Congress and the public deserve to know whoās involved and where the money is going.
