I first read this quote working in a marginalised community in USA. King’s vision of a better world changed me and guided my future career. As I started my new role this week with The 174 Trust I found this quote hanging on their wall, ready to guide me into this new season…
Total fanboy moment as I’m at a live recording of @RestIsPolitics podcast at #agreement25. So much to learn from @campbellclaret and @RoryStewartUK’s ability to disagree well with each other…

Despite the negative media narrative, refugees+ asylum seekers bring incredible strengths with them. I'm so proud to work with Hiba, a former refugee, who brilliantly supports scores of people seeking asylum/refuge and local people to build mutually beneficial relationships...
'Seeking refuge in N.I from Sudan, I found it hard to integrate. I got involved in a Corrymeela programme—it brought people together & I wanted to do more. I volunteered as a translator & got a job working at Corrymeela supporting Syrian refugees.' More at tinyurl.com/58hdhke6

Good evening, gang!
I have once again compiled a thread of little bits from 2022 that I found funny, heartwarming, inspiring or just plain silly. It can be tough out there so sit back, relax and hopefully something in this thread might make you smile!
Let’s go! 💕
🤣🤣🤣
We thought momentarily @BBCMarkSimpson was interviewing himself in the evening news … In fact he was interviewing Tim Magowan Executive Director of Corrymeela. @BBCGarethG @taramillstv @julianoneill @bigkenreid @StephenGrimason
Deeply, passionately believe that in our divided society, we all benefit when we build relationships with people who are different from us. Thanks to the brilliant @BBCMarkSimpson for the chat....
We all need to find ways to connect with people who are different to us, says @TimMagowan from Corrymeela.
Could you be our new Volunteer Manager or Fundraising Officer?
Corrymeela is hiring! We're looking for a Volunteer Manager and a Fundraising Officer—find out more and apply now at corrymeela.org/about/recruit…
or share with anyone you think might be interested.
Such a humbling experience to be with victims and survivors of our conflict, remembering those we have lost in the past and committing ourselves to work for a better future for everyone. Thanks @corrymeela @HTRinfo @WAVETrauma @MartinJMagill @PCIModerator @ArchbishopEamon

Tomorrow is the Day of Reflection about the conflict in and about Northern Ireland.
If you can't be with us for the Courage to Lament service at Belfast Cathedral (11.30am), you can join us live via our YouTube channel. youtu.be/jRL57bOfBUU
We’re in our fourth round ! The suits and computers are massive but the script is still whip-sharp and the issues they’re exploring are prophetic ....

Are we moving forward or backwards ? A brilliant visual assessment of the bomb scare we were caught up in at the ‘building common grounds’ event yesterday @humefoundation
Being evacuated because of a security alert, felt like a throw back to our troubled past. It redoubles my commitment to supporting people to explore difference well and build common ground – ironically the very message @simoncoveney was sharing bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-i…
My tearfund trips were life-enriching and at times life-changing. Hope this one is like this for you too 👍
Heading off to Rwanda this evening with a team of colleagues from @Tearfund. If you're a pray-er, please pray for covid free travel and for Spirit led, fruitful conversations and encounters!
I've been slow to realise how prevalent violence and sexual assault against women is, in society and in faith communities. I'm so pleased to support this campaign to challenge men, like me, to step up and take action...
Violence against women is learned. Each of us should examine & change the way our own behaviour might contribute to, enable, ignore or excuse all such forms of violence—Patrick Stewart.
Invite other men to do the same.

We visited your extraordinary exhibition today @colin_davidson - it was at once beautiful, heartbreaking and inspiring. We left with tears in our eyes and renewed determination in our hearts to find new ways to live well with each other. Thank you.
‘Silent Testimony’ finishes tomorrow at 5pm at the Ulster Museum. Thank you @Kim_Mawhinney & @UlsterMuseum for believing in the project from the start. Thank you @WAVETrauma for your unstinting support of victims & survivors. And thank you to my 18 sitters. It was always for you.
