Dominic Grieve KC (Chair of the Govt’s ‘anti-Muslim hostility’ definition) repeatedly assured us that it doesn't and wouldn't amount to a blasphemy law and would leave people free to criticise Islam, its doctrines and practices. Yet @ThePosieParker has been charged under s.127 Communications Act 2003 for a post listing real issues (grooming gangs, treatment of women, terrorism etc.) and calling Islam “a vile woman-hating.. death cult.” Police say this is “grossly offensive”. The definition is non-statutory guidance; s.127 is existing criminal law. Police and the CPS are applying the latter in ways that make the former’s free-speech assurances look hollow. Criticism of a religion is not hostility toward people. In application, the gap between the two is the problem.

The videos from Barcelona are truly shocking. A violent mob devastating the city center, looting stores and setting fires. Families with children locked in a department store during Saturday shopping. Violent riots in Paris, Marseille, Milan, Genoa, and now Barcelona. What else needs to happen for Europe to understand that the current mass migration approach doesn’t work? We somehow got used to concrete blocks in front of Christmas markets, should we now get used to violent mobs devastating our cities every Saturday? Socialists push uncontrolled mass immigration because they need the votes. Why should we accept that though? It harms our safety, makes housing less affordable, and lifelong welfare drains the economy. Isn’t that too high a price to the society for left parties to import their voters? Countries like Poland or Hungary show how to address it. Three things: First, protect the borders and don’t grant asylum to those crossing illegally. Poland does that, why can’t others? Second, consequently deport criminals. Why do they riot and loot? Because they know that even if arrested, there will be no serious consequences. Third, eliminate lifelong welfare. Unconditional benefits are a huge pull factor for people to move to Europe in the first place. People on permanent welfare don’t contribute to society, they drain it. Look at Poland again, no lifelong welfare, resulting in safe streets, very low unemployment, and a fast-growing economy. With low birth rates, Europe needs immigration, but the current uncontrolled mass immigration approach creates more problems than it solves, and requires urgent adjustment. What else must happen for politicians to stop denying reality?

The UK Labour government now has an extreme Falklands security problem. All from indulging in placating South Asian domestic voters.
BREAKING: According to my Israel government sources, following an order from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Argentina can now buy all the weapons it needs from Israel. Some of which might or can be used in any operation for recapture of the Falkland / Malvinas Islands. Since 2025, Israel and Argentina have been discussing for procurement of LORA tactical ballistic missiles for future use of Argentine Navy, and Rampage air-launched ballistic missiles for use on the Argentine Air Force’s F-16AM multirole fighter jets. Israel’s green light for the sale of these strategic weapons to Argentina is a response to the British government’s sanctions against Israel.

It’s weird how the “global price” of gas is lower in countries that drill for it.
CHART OF THE DAY: The price of natural gas in the US 🇺🇸 and Europe 🇪🇺. Now, imagine running a gas-intensive company (say, a fertilizer plant) in either region. Europe >$30; US <$3

Prosper UK claims 30,000 supporters, backed by former senior Tories seeking to pull Conservatives to the left. On immigration, Net Zero and Brexit, their views fundamentally clash with Kemi’s direction. Growing chasm in Tory Party impossible to ignore.. politicshome.com/news/articl…

I don't even think a lot of people on the right truly appreciate the scale of the Boriswave. More migrants could settle between 2026 and 2030 than settled in the 20 years between 1980 and 2000.
The Makerfield by-election could be one of the most fiscally and demographically consequential elections in British history.

The Labour government will give the BorisWave settlement and expect the British public to pick up the tab. Many will have naturalised before the next GE. With huge fiscal & social costs involved, we will need to have a national discussion about removing this status.

A good time to resurface some peak EU propaganda …
The battle of narratives is going strong. Our countries are a recurring target. It is time to act to tell the stories that make us strong. Let’s live our own story! Protect what matters - our democracy.

The trends in Britain could hardly be worse. Last year 45 millionaires and entrepreneurs left every day, while 3,000 welfare recipients were added. The exodus is at its highest level in a century. Calls for higher taxes and a political climate treating successful founders as a problem rather than an asset are driving entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals to the UAE, Switzerland and Singapore, places that welcome capital and talent and reward innovation and job creation instead of punishing it. Debt is already at 95% of GDP and interest costs are rising fast. A country that punishes hard work and innovation while rewarding laziness faces a bleak future and a likely debt crisis down the road. Left calls for even higher taxes will only drive more hard-working people away, increasing the burden on those who remain. The left’s “tax the rich” approach in reality just prompts emigration and shifts more costs to the middle class.

The main problem in Europe is that too many people have been indoctrinated to believe prosperity can be redistributed rather than created. Left indoctrination in education and legacy media has caused such deep damage that many simply insist to refuse any reasonable arguments and have somehow learned to ignore socialism’s well-documented history of failure, poverty, and misery. Unfortunately, those who take prosperity for granted must experience socialist misery themselves, as they are immune to arguments and history. Only then might they wake up, and perhaps our children will have a better future afterwards. Please correct me if you can, I would really want to be wrong about this.

It’s all becoming clear now. Badenoch flies to Greece in August with her husband on a summer jolly paid for by Murdoch. A grateful Badenoch meets with her benefactor and makes undisclosed promises to secure his political support. During September Murdoch directs The Times - which he owns - to procure a poll from YouGov putting Badenoch’s Tories in second place. In October the poll is published and the media trumpet it as a triumph for Badenoch marking the end of Reform. If all this chicanery proves anything it’s that the Tories haven’t changed and you can’t trust Badenoch. (Thanks to @mikecosgrove45 for highlighting the meeting)

This is the important question of the day.🤯⬇️ The "B-1 Skedaddle" was based on a real IRGC threat the UK Labour government caught and released. This marks the beginning of the end of the US-UK "Special Relationship."
Andy Burnham says " highly likely" that the RAF Fairford was directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Why did they release the suspects on bail less than 48 hours? That's what all of us want to know

Absolutely spot on from @trussliz Despite being gifted a majority the Tories spent years apologising for who they were, ashamed of their own supporters they sought solace in appealing to the liberal left. As a result they ended up jumping to the opposition’s tune, standing for little and achieving less. With a large majority they could have done anything they wanted, they could have turned things around, but they didn’t, they spent their years placating the minority opposition and all they achieved was to gift that opposition an even larger majority. Labour by contrast couldn’t give a damn what the opposition think.
When are the right going to stop apologising and double down?
