🚨 @solana transaction count could plunge today because of an upgrade. Alpenglow goes live on mainnet today, replacing TowerBFT and targeting ~150ms finality versus the commonly cited ~12.8 seconds. The actual switch at slot 459,653,000 is expected around 9:40 AM ET. Here’s the dashboard trap: validator votes move out of blocks, so headline TPS and transaction counts should fall sharply. That mechanical decline doesn’t mean real usage collapsed.
