The first Mission: Impossible is deeply underrated. I will always stand by Brian de Palma & will always maintain that this is one of Cinema’s most overlooked directors. I understand that this film feels distinctly different from the rest of the franchise, but that’s part of what makes it so endearing. De Palma’s filmmaking here is outstanding.

Keanu Reeves took a pay cut so the production could afford Al Pacino’s salary. When Pacino learned about the sacrifice, he reportedly donated the same amount of his own salary to charity.

The Mummy: Book of the Dead as the official title, and Universal locking in the film's release for exactly a year from now, yes, feels like a fast marketing sprint, but it could actually work.
And both Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz look great on set.

Christian Bale suited up as Batman on a Hong Kong skyscraper during The Dark Knight. One of the coolest locations Nolan used in the entire trilogy.
