Men holding men accountable and not blaming women. See guys, it’s not hard.
I received my beautiful Merry Gentry signed editions from @LKHamilton today and from @LeftBankBooks. Every since Smolder was released I try to purchase the signed editions of Laurel's novels! These will be a beautiful addition to my collection! Thank you i am very happy!

Today in Middle-earth, the Council of Elrond takes place! This is probably my favourite chapter in The Fellowship of the Ring. Every time I reread (or re-listen) to it, I pick up on something new.
I love how members of different races and kingdoms from around Middle-earth congregate in Rivendell through what initially seem like extraordinary strokes of luck. But for many, it’s all connected to one particular thing. Professor Tolkien being the master he is avoids lengthy monologues explaining Middle-earth's history. Instead, the characters engage in genuine discussion full of disagreements and different perspectives. Everyone has their own reasons for being there and something to contribute.
Elrond recounting the Battle of the Last Alliance is my personal highlight. It’s incredible hearing him speak of events thousands of years past, knowing he was actually present, just thinking about that is so amazing.
What makes the chapter even more remarkable is how it actually serves to moves the story forward. Tolkien establishes the terror of the threat facing them, ultimately setting the entire quest in motion. By the end of the chapter, we understand just how desperate their situation is and why the destruction of the Ring is the only option.
Where does this chapter rank for you?

Mike is still no better and has deteriorated more, I just wish he could stay stable. He couldn’t remember our 25th Wedding Anniversary party (which was 7 years ago) and even after I showed him pictures it was all very vague to him. It’s his short term and long term memory that seems to be affected.
We went back to the doctors last week as he is still waiting for an appointment to be reassessed at the neurological unit which they are pushing for (I feel a complaint to PALS is needed). The doctor gave him something to help him sleep as he has terrible sleep due to his symptoms. I feel for everyone out there not only people who are suffering but also the carers as it can be very cruel.
Mike had to retire early due to FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) he suffers from memory issues, stutters, balance, speech loss, swallowing issues, leg seizures and tremors.
So me Christine The Nut Fairy has had to step up to try and make a go of our little online gift shop.
Mr Lumpy & Friends supporters help us by making donations or purchases from our little online shop which not only helps us it also helps the wildlife organisations that we support.
So I ask you next time you’re thinking of buying a gift or something for yourself please take a look at our shop plus we have 15% off at the moment!
I’ve done my best with a range of quality goods at reasonable prices and you would be supporting a small business.
We are not a faceless entity, you all know that it’s me and Mike you are talking to, taking orders packing the goods ourselves and dealing with customer services as quickly and as efficiently as we can.
This is on top of all the social media which is my job and I hope I’m keeping you informed whilst raising a smile 😊

One of my favorite songs from the new album - I Love Tomorrow. It's about hope, second chances, and the belief that the best is still ahead. Give a listen & enjoy! (Wherever you get your streaming music from.)
