Eid Mubarak!

Great to be back @WHMparkrun today after illness and injury. Thanks to all the volunteers for managing the big crowd. Stop for coffee and email catch up @HPBCLeeds and visit @HeadingleyHEART - amazing activities there today, then on to my councillor surgery at Headingley Library.

Litter pick earlier this week on Queen’s Road in Hyde Park, Leeds. Thanks to all the @LeedsGreenParty helpers plus friends and families. At least 14 bags of rubbish collected in just over an hour.

Thanks to the wonderful residents around Hyde Park corner who arranged a clear up where the billboards used to be. It was great to join you. Thanks, too, to @HPBCLeeds for helping and providing hot drinks.

I attended the Leeds Trans Day of Remembrance Service today, on behalf of @LeedsGreenParty to remember the 350 lives lost across the world this year in acts of anti-transgender violence. Thanks for the moving and defiant speeches and beautiful, creative poems. #TDoR2024

And here’s us three green councillors the morning after the big Sleepout. We managed to get some sleep and help raise lots of money for Simon on the Streets.

Great to visit All Hallows Church today and have a good chat with Rev Heston Groenewald and to meet Annmarie and Nic from the Rainbow Junktion team. Also wonderful to be there to see the Little Free Library open outside. The whole thing is such a great asset to the community.
