People seem to think I’m only pro-EV, this is absolutely not the case. The future will need a multi-fuel approach to succeed: Daily personal transport and ‘last mile deliveries - BEV Commercial LGV/HGV/Agri - Hydrogen Classics/supercars/sports cars - synthetic fuels 👍

This is a bit tasty - a true 1of1 McLaren 650S Le Mans. The rest of the 50 cars were all Le Sarthe Grey apart from this one made for a very special customer. autotrader.co.uk/car-details…

Just realised I’ve had a 14yr run of VW Group leases in alternating grey/red. Odd. ‘12 Skoda Yeti (grey) ‘15 Skoda Yeti facelift (red) ‘17 Skoda Octavia vRS TDi (grey) ‘19 Seat Leon Cupra 300 (red) ‘22 Skoda Octavia vRS (grey) ‘24 Cupra Born (grey) ‘26 VW ID3 GTX (red) Never really planned, always just gone for good lease deals that were around at the time. Missed out on the Golf R Estate ones due to being mid-lease.

Averaged about £243/m on them all. Always 1+ leases too, I never pay more up front. So that’s £40k over 14yrs to have driven brand new cars with zero stress and minimal bills. “Oh but you could’ve bought X/Y for £40k and you’d still have it now” is the usual argument. Yes, I probably could’ve bought a BMW 340 Touring and kept it, but I’d now have a 14yr old car that costs a fortune to keep going. Plus frankly I didn’t have £40k then, we focussed on overpaying the mortgage, which is now paid off. Consistency is the key and not having to worry about big bills appearing meant we could max the mortgage payment every month. Does this work for everyone? Nope. But I just thought I’d give some more info as I often get asked why I lease and don’t but X/Y/Z.

My favourite bit of the Tesla Roadster not a Roadster launch is that they want you to give them $250,000 up front - then you read the small print 🤣 #OneBornEveryMinute

And this is a piss-take too. £250,000 reservation in the UK, which is $325,000.

What's funny is, all the Elonbots think I'm a hater and i'm really not. I actually think the Roadster Performance, with just the ground effects fan will be bloody epic. Looks great too IMO. It'll undoubtedly be silly fast with over 1200hp. And around 1700kg is amazing. I think it'll have a smaller battery (<80kWh) but mega fast charging (which is what was said in the Hagerty video) But they had to show all the stupid gas thruster stuff, which I don't believe will ever make it to production, it was just a way to get a load of $250k deposits. I also think the Model Y L is pretty much the best family car you could think of buying in the US, for the majority of people. Good value, loads of space, access to FSD which even in its current state is actually seriously impressive at making long distances easier. Think critically, people. Please. It is possible to like some things and dislike others.

“Suction system”. ……. Magnets and wires.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tesla's Roadster demo used a multi-mode fan suction system to hold and drive the car upside down on the ramp, per Tesla and reports; lines in images are rigging, not magnets/wires. tesla.com/roadster insideevs.com/news/812152/te… motor1.com/news/812195/te…

If any of you believe that is a proper vehicle that weighs over 1000kg you REALLY need to go back to school. Physics doesn’t work like that. No details, 2028 delivery, ridiculous stunts. I just know this is going to fill my feed today by idiots believing it 🤦🏼‍♂️
Do a kickflip!

Porsche Mission S concept. Lots of rumours around that the production car will have a turbocharged flat-8 engine, but it makes more sense that it’ll use the V8 hybrid setup from the Temerario. Either way it looks bloody fantastic.
