Not trying to defend colonialism here, but unlike the Brits who banned homosexuality throughout their entire empire, the Dutch never did and we inherited their legal code which did not explicitly ban homosexuality. Hence why we're on this prestigious list* *= discounting Aceh

Dutch colonialism was one of the biggest influences why Indonesians are mostly lgbtphobes (they criminalized same sex interactions while promoting female sex workers likee 🙄). ironic how Netherlands became the first country in the world who legalized same sex marriage.

Honestly the whole "colonialism brought homophobia" argument really shouldn't be applied to formerly-colonized Muslim-majority countries, since Islam had already been established in places like Indonesia for centuries prior to European arrival

Jalan Sudirman asyik kalo kamu wisatawan melihat gedung tinggi dan naik MRT untuk pertama kalinya. Tapi buat commuters yang jalan kaki? Having to take a detour and climbing up and down JPOs starts to get tiring very quickly
