my grandparents have all kinds of fun stuff in their basement, like this cool box from a Dell they bought in 1998 (Pentium 2 300) 😎

My kids' school suggested using remote learning instead of canceling for snow days. That CANNOT happen. I’m like the guy in a movie who went to prison and would rather die before going back.
If they pull that, my kid is just taking the L on homework and we’re going sledding.

You've got folks on one side saying dudes can be girls and folks on the other side saying racism isn't real.
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am: stuck in the middle with who?

One of the worst aspects of the new right is its "no apologies" ethos. That's not just unchristian, it's fundamentally anti-Christian.
We all fall. We all make mistakes. Repentance isn't optional. It's a necessary part of life.

The amount of power #SCOTUS is able to exercise over contemporary social disputes is a policy choice by Congress, *not* a constitutional mandate.
For 200 years, Congress exercised control over the Court in many ways. Part of why we are where we are is because it doesn’t anymore.

I like @WillyRice, respect his ministry, & feel we have been friends for a number of years. However, this endorsement tweet is amazing in it’s inaccuracies. There are many things one could argue w (ex. Stone’s being part of the “endless lawsuits” w his own lawsuit against a former SBC entity head), the unsustainable path being only attributable to the EC & self inflicted, etc). However, 2 that are hard to understand from a person as intelligent as Willy are:
1. Willy says u can be placed on the database by “merely an accusation”. That is simply an untruth. The convention voted overwhelmingly on the definition of “credibly accused” last year in Anaheim. Credibly accused is legal terminology that has very specific criteria, as well as being the criteria the Catholic Church uses as they battle their own sexual abuse issues. If even more work needs to be done to refine it as the ARITF suggests, so be it, but don’t say things that are simply not true & not expect that to be called out.
2. To say @PastorMikeStone does not represent CBN is either disingenuous or naive. He is literally on their steering council! On their website. Backed by virtually 100% of them.
3. Willy says Mike is a “strong supporter of CP”. While his percentage is admirable, the facts are when he didn’t get his way, he stopped giving to the CP. That is certainly he and his church’s prerogative, but to call him a “strong supporter” when he stopped giving when he didn’t get his way doesn’t seem to be the standard we would hold others to.
I’ll definitely be supporting @bartbarber for a second term.
Next week I intend to nominate @PastorMikeStone for President of the SBC. Here’s why…
