2 key learning from listening to @TheBornlessGame in @WolvesDAO today: They're one of the few games going for Steam compliance and it looks like it's paying off with over 190,000 wishlists. They did this with almost zero marketing spend. Key actions that got them there: 1. Localization focus - dozens of languages help them get in front of thousands of people who are otherwise unreachable. 2. A burst of organic marketing and direct outreach using their trailer to entice people to wishlist on day 1. Calling in favors from friends, family, etc to get them started. Recognizing that Steam is driven by an algorithm and they needed to break into it quickly.
