There was no way I wasn't going to click on a show with this description ... "Steve (Austin) battles aliens planning to build weapons with gold and jewels stolen by Bigfoot; guest John Saxon."
What did people expect to happen this week with the Colts? Retooling is necessary, but a midseason decision to blow it up means the rest of the season will be ugly. Players have been sent the message they’re not good enough & on borrowed time. So they play accordingly.
“Phantom Of The Paradise” is on TCM. The cultiest of cult movies if you get my meaning. One of Brian DePalma’s best and it has great performances in it, especially a villainous turn by Paul Williams.
Priceless.
The @Brewers used Chicago’s Big Bus Tours buses for the parade and now they’re driving around Chicago doing tours with the wraps still on!

That is an insane number, but on the other hand, it's not because of the passion in Wisconsin for its sports teams.
Still, that's basically two Indy 500s worth of people on two days notice. I also can't imagine downtown Milwaukee with 750K in it all at once.
The Milwaukee Police Dept. estimates 750,000 people attended today’s parade downtown and rally at the Summerfest grounds for the World Series champion @Brewers. “Preliminary research shows this may have been the largest crowd for a single day event in state history,” said MPD.
Disappointed the Brewers parade isn’t Saturday or Sunday. Had it been, I would have gone, but the logistics are too difficult for me to pull off to get there Friday.
I liked Fox’s creative Uke tribute, but poor Dwayne Mosley, who called the end of Game 5 of the ‘82 ALCS (Uke was working the Brewers’ locker room for ABC), always gets lumped into these calls … even though he only very vaguely sounds like Uke.
This reads morbid, but it’s not intended to be. A big hole in my soul is forever filled. Never will I yearn for that which my very favorite team had never achieved. The Brewers did it. Milwaukee did it. Wisconsin did it.
An eternal thank you to the Atlanta Braves for sending the best catcher in baseball our way. One of the many trades that led to this.
Mark Attanasio … greatest owner ever. When he bought the team in the mid-2000s, the Brewers were a poverty franchise. A joke. Since he took over, the team has steadily risen to good to elite to champions. Milwaukee owes him an eternal debt of gratitude.
Milwaukee, the city so central to who I am, are the champions of baseball, the sport that has always been my favorite, ordained from birth when my parents gave me the middle name Aaron, as in Hank. What a wonderful feeling.
