I was checking out at the grocery store yesterday when I overheard the funniest conversation between a couple standing right behind me. I had to pretend I was busy checking my phone because I didn’t want them to see me laughing.
Girl: Oh, you’re paying with cash? Here, use this.
Guy: (Looking at the money) What’s this? Why are you giving me all these $1 bills? You never carry cash.
Girl: Well, I started keeping some on me. You never know when you might need it.
Guy: Where did you even get all these ones?
Girl: Oh, that’s from my stripper job.
Guy: (Stops counting and looks at her) Your WHAT?
Girl: My stripper job. Don’t act so surprised.
Guy: Wait a minute. You’ve been working as a stripper?
Girl: Yes. Is that a problem?
Guy: I mean… no, but I’m just trying to understand. How long have you been doing this?
Girl: A few weeks.
Guy: And you’re making money from it?
Girl: Obviously. Why else would I be doing it?
Guy: (Looks down at the money and starts counting again) Hold on… twelve dollars? You made twelve dollars from stripping?
