Not me hoping @bookishrealm does a reaction video to Cosmopolitan’s 100 Best YA Books of All Time.
What am I doing on this lovely Sunday? Reading Allegedly by @WriteinBK and yelling at the book, just about ready to throw it across the room. I bet the mom did it and blamed her 9yo daughter so she could live her life and I hate her.
The people vetting books by BIPOC and queer authors are the same people who cried foul when the Suess estate pulled racists books from print and called it cancellation. The former is the true cancellation to me.
My students were bummed that I didn’t read Amari and the Night Brothers by @bb_alston to them today (we’re on block schedule the next two days so it’s silent reading). Warms my heart to know they’re enjoying it!
Look, if you have not picked up The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by @zlikeinzorro, you are seriously missing out!
I’m holding @WriteinBK personally responsible for any nightmares I have tonight. White Smoke is good, but scary as hell. It’s like reading a horror movie.
If @taylorswift13 doesn’t include a scarf in her Red (Taylor’s Version) merch, it’ll be a missed opportunity. #RedTaylorsVersion
Did I just fall in love with Rise to the Sun by @byleahjohnson? Yes, yes I did. I love this book so much and I’m only 60 pages in.

People are conflating Critical Race Theory with History. Y’all really protesting the teaching of HISTORY in schools. And just because that history makes some uncomfortable, that doesn’t make it any less true.
I wish I wasn’t teaching summer school so I could stay up and binge read Instructions for Dancing by @NicolaYoon. Seriously addicting! I’ve laughed so much. Might be my favorite of June.
