She gets it because she was born into that world. Gullible progressive Americans can’t see what @RawaneOsmane sees.
Congratulations, Abdul El-Sayed. You won. You outsmarted millions. If voters in other states had been allowed to vote for you, many more would have fallen for your charm. Keep going and maybe one day it's the presidency. Like it or not, they will call you Senator. You beat them at their own game. Western democracy gave you representation, and you're using that power to shape your country (yes, your country) closer to your worldview. Who knows, maybe you'll even work to undo the Muslim Brotherhood designation. As an observant Muslim, why wouldn't you pursue what you believe in? And let's be honest: you read your voters far better than they read you. Your critics put the questions about your associations in front of them. Your voters, many of them Jewish, shrugged and backed you anyway. As we say in Arabic: القانون لا يحمي المغفلين. The law doesn't protect the gullible. The political current that cheered your victory has spent decades working patiently toward this, for the good of humanity as it sees it, and for the good of its children. I disagree. I grew up where Islam has ruled since the 7th century. Since the eighties, the Muslim Brotherhood has promised us الإسلام هو الحل, "Islam is the solution." We lived the result, and nothing could be further from the truth. That was our experience in the Muslim world, the same world your parents chose to leave. Maybe America will be different. Maybe here it will finally work, because the people who mistake your smug smile for a sweet one are so much easier to win over. They have no resilience. They take every smile at face value. And they have so little sense of who they are that some would trade it for anything that offers certainty. Congratulations. The hard work paid off. While your side spent decades organizing, the people who should have been paying attention were busy inventing new identities, new grievances, new reasons to be offended, new things to smoke, new gods. Then the Palestinian cause led them straight into bed with Islamism. And for Palestine, they'll march hypnotized to the end of the earth. @AbdulElSayed

When your spider senses know the budget is a farce of “economic growth” this makes sense.
Imagine if you could reduce your debt by dividing it onto three credit cards! Well Mark Carney says today you can.

Standing against Jew hatred is standing up for the values that define us and for the Canada we believe in. To those participating in shameful boycott campaigns and disguising anti-Jewish hatred as human-rights advocacy, let us be clear, Israel and the Jewish people are here to stay. So are those of us who stand with them, including proud Zionists who believe in the Jewish people’s right to self-determination and Israel’s right to exist as their homeland. Shabbat shalom, from your ally.

The fact that it was a kosher bakery apparently wasn’t worth mentioning. Shameful headline ⬇️

Israel’s Arab-led parties won 19 Knesset seats. Today all of them backed Gadi Eisenkot to form the next government, giving him 67 endorsements to Netanyahu’s 46. Arab voters and lawmakers are playing a big role in shaping Israeli society. Remember these facts the next time someone tries to hit you with the apartheid libel. It’s simply not true.

There is no such thing as an "anti-Zionist" in the Israeli mind. It's not a coherent word, says @havivrettiggur. What's Zionism to an Israeli Jew? It's literally the last living Jews in the hemisphere and everywhere else kicked you out or murdered you.

CBC's Basic Burner podcast spends 30 minutes asking "What's behind the youth protests in France?" without once mention the omnipresence of Palestinian flags and keffiyehs at the riots. France is burning in the name of antizionism. CBC demures. podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcas…

I want to talk to my pro-Israel friends really directly. El-Sayed winning is a disaster, just like Mamdani. There’s no way to sugarcoat that. But it’s so much worse. CAIR and the Islamists are producing their own red-green alliance to have hundreds of Mamdanis running for office at the state and local level. The good news is moderate Democrats won last night. Pro-Israel Democrats won last night. This was not a DSA win. This was a repudiation of Trump and his focus on culture war over actually governing. There are no shortcuts available here. We’re gonna have to do the hard long-term work of exposing these Jew haters and their anti-American ideology and making sure they don’t get elected. The way I see it, we have sixteen months to save the Democratic Party. If the progressive message wins, and the Democratic Party becomes synonymous with anti-Americanism - your fears will come true. But last night showed the American people don’t want the DSA agenda. This battle is winnable. Take a day or two to mourn, and then we’ll regroup and get back to work. Am Yisrael Chai.

What if I told you there was a medication that could reduce the risk of dying from an opioid overdose to roughly ZERO. Most Canadians have never heard of it. It’s called buprenorphine. At the Health Committee, I questioned Dr. Pouya Azar, an addiction medicine specialist with frontline experience treating substance use disorders, about this life-saving treatment. Buprenorphine reduces opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms, helping those struggling with addiction stabilize their lives and begin recovery. Dr. Azar testified that this treatment is basically 100% effective at preventing death by opioid overdose. This raises a serious question about the Liberal government’s approach to Canada’s opioid crisis. Why has so much attention and funding been directed toward ideologically-driven “safe supply” programs while Canadians continue to face barriers accessing evidence-based addiction treatment? Canadians deserve answers about why treatments like buprenorphine are not more widely accessible. If we’re serious about addressing Canada’s opioid crisis, we need to make evidence-based treatment and recovery a priority.

No one tried to throw Jared Golden down the Democratic Party's memory hole when he endorsed Mike Lawler. What's happening to Haley Stevens is barbarous and misogynistic.

Haley Stevens has displayed courage, integrity and leadership. She understood that the Democratic Party would punish her publicly and privately. And still did the right thing. To stay silent about El-Sayed’s Leninist-Islamist, antisemitic and anti-American agenda would be to be complicit in it. Heaps of shame on all those within that party that endorse him and his ilk in the vain hope that somehow actual power will change him. Well Done Haley! BRAVO 👏

Rare Moment of Truth: Today at the United Nations, diplomats will be watching an essential documentary about terror-infested UNRWA. Title of the film: “Unraveling UNRWA.” Stay tuned for my next post to see why this title is more relevant than ever.
Today at the United Nations: dozens of diplomats will attend a special screening of UNraveling UNRWA, a film that exposes Hamas’s infiltration of UNRWA. This is a reality that can no longer be ignored.

Corruption we can never underestimate.
Shaimaa Rabah is a newly elected councilwoman in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, and a member of Fatah, who was part of a limited set of local municipal elections inside Gaza back in April. After Al Jazeera aired a documentary featuring exclusive footage from Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades about the life of slain military leader Mohammed al-Deif, Shaimaa Rabah shared a Facebook post condemning what she viewed as the glorification of Hamas, which she blamed for Gaza’s devastation. She described the program as “a rich meal of animal feed for the Muslim Brotherhood” and criticized Al Jazeera’s efforts to portray Hamas as heroic despite the destruction and suffering that followed its rule and the 10/7 terror attack. In response, Hamas and its supporters pressured members of Shaimaa Rabah’s clan with a wave of threats and harassment to compel her to delete the post and issue a public apology, which she did. Even that has not satisfied her critics, who are now demanding her resignation from the Deir al-Balah municipal council, arguing that her status as the council’s first elected woman does not entitle her to disparage the memory of those they regard as “martyrs.” This episode is a reminder to those who believe elections can produce meaningful political change while Hamas retains effective control over Gaza. Democracy is not the foundation of a free society but the product of one. It depends on the prior existence of independent civil institutions, a free press, freedom of expression, and mechanisms for holding power accountable. I have shared this concern with Dahlan-affiliated Fatah reformists, EU officials, Arab ministers, and others who advocate elections as a solution to the Palestinian Authority’s legitimacy crisis and the search for an alternative to Hamas. In today’s Gaza, any non-Hamas voice can be rapidly silenced, making meaningful reform, let alone a challenge to the entrenched “resistance” narrative, nearly impossible. Before any credible democratic process can take place, Hamas’s system of control must be dismantled. Until then, the most realistic path forward is a transitional administration focused on restoring basic services and rebuilding a truly free civil society while removing the coercive structures Hamas and its patrons have spent decades creating.

Haley Stevens knew that endorsing Mike Rogers would mean the end of her career in the Democratic Party. She knew that her colleagues and so-called allies would turn on her. And she did it anyway. She looked at the candidate her party chose and saw someone who has built his political career on demonizing America and Israel and excusing terrorism. @HaleyforMI chose her country and her conscience over party loyalty and political ambition. I have nothing but deep respect for her.
Haley Stevens made the gutsiest move I’ve seen in my political life today. Nothing but respect.
