Well those of us who watch Arteta play know that he was prolly just above average…Just! I can name 10 midfielders that have played for Arsenal around the same time he did that are clear of him! Cesc Viera Ramsey Santi Song Gilberto Flamini Rosicky Hleb Wilshere This is not a knock on him, it’s just the reality of things. As a manger, he is elite and right now top 3/5 active right now. But as a player, he’s just above average

Honestly we have to say it like it is! With Kai on the team Arsenal looks a lot more stable and in control…but will less attacking threat or zeal! With Gyökeres however, we look a lot more alive and attacking. Arteta will prefer Kai over Gyo in most games (Especially in the EPL) because he wants more control in games. That’s why we have a lot of 1-0 and 2-0 unentertaining games in the league. In the champions league however, where teams do not seat back and let you have all the possession, Gyökeres is a better fit as he can help Arsenal exploit the gaps in the opposition. I’ve understood this with Arteta and I’ve made peace with it 🙏🏾🙌🏾
