Another player added to IR: 49ers placed WR Christian Kirk on injured reserve. Kirk injured his meniscus during Thursday’s practice.

The NFL fined Steelers safety Jaquan Brisker $17,911 for this hit on Deshaun Watson last week. Watson entered the concussion protocol a day later and has since cleared. Shedeur Sanders is expected to start Sunday vs. New Orleans.

Seahawks QB Drew Lock has been battling severe tendinitis in his throwing elbow. But he looked good in limited practice reps and will start Sunday against Arizona in place of injured Sam Darnold, with free agency looming in March. More in The Sweep: tompelissero.substack.com/p/…

The Denver Broncos have checked in around the league on tight ends, going so far as to ambitiously -- and some would say outrageously -- check on Cardinals star Trey McBride, who is from Fort Morgan, Colorado, and played at Colorado State. The Cardinals made it very clear they have zero intention of trading McBride.

The #Rams have now officially activated star OLB Myles Garrett from Injured Reserve.

From The Insiders on @nflnetwork: Following the #Ravens loss on TNF, the #Ravens completed a trade for Jacoby Brissett.

From The Insiders on @nflnetwork: Brandon Aiyuk came and went on Friday, exiting the #49ers facility with no resolution.

Sources: The #Colts have held Daniel Jones trade talks as multiple teams have called about their QB. Story from me and @AdamSchefter: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5040… espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/5040…

STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express. I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better. My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this. I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done. To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people. One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge. Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough. God is good. My faith is strong. Jack Campbell

Falcons ruled out RB Brian Robinson Jr. for Sunday’s game in Madrid against the Bengals due to a hamstring injury.

In his 25th game as head coach, Liam Coen’s Jaguars now have scored 702 points, tying him for the third fastest head coach in the Super Bowl era to reach 700-plus points, trailing only Mike Martz (22 games) and Sean McVay (23).

Brandon Aiyuk’s agent Drew Rosenhaus repeated that his client will report back to the 49ers on Friday afternoon. “We will be there tomorrow at 3pm to meet with the team at the facility,” Rosenhaus texted. “We will put our best foot forward and go from there.”
