After multiple attacks this year, from Lloyds debanking us to former employees spreading malicious lies on social media, the situation has become unsustainable, both financially and operationally.
After 11 years, we take this action with deep sadness and regret. The extent of the lies, defamation, and harassment by ex-staff - coupled with the constant attacks by the state and those who’d see us destroyed - has become too much.
However, it is not over. This week, we will publish what really happened at the Canary and push back against the vicious campaign against our team and us.
We may be down, but we’re not out yet.

We have released a free open source tool 'Zero Breach' - that can identify whether a recent Israeli spyware campaign left traces on your PC - the one Citizen Lab exposed, where Israeli ad-tech was used to infect journalists through 'no-click' ordinary ads.
It needs Python installed (python.org — tick "Add python.exe to PATH" during setup). Then open PowerShell in the folder where you saved it and run:
python -X utf8 zero-breach.py
It takes about 15 minutes. It only reads - it changes nothing, needs no admin, and never connects to the internet. It checks for 338 indicators and tells you if one of your browsers interacted with one of the infected ads in the past. (It also checks for Candiru infection)

Another project completed by our @rebuildgaza24 team in Gaza.
By extending water pipelines directly into four displacement camps, thousands of Palestinians now have regular access to clean water without having to endure long queues.
This is not our first water project, and it certainly won't be our last. As winter approaches, our priority is repairing damaged tents and providing shelter for vulnerable families, particularly those who cannot even reach out to ask for help.
Our mission remains the same: reaching those who need us most, restoring dignity and making a lasting difference.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the world’s leading anti-imperialist state and the tip of the spear in the struggle for the liberation of Palestine. One need not take my word for this, nor even that of Sayyed Ali Khamenei or General Qasem Soleimani.
Instead, one should listen to the words of the leaders of the Palestinian Resistance themselves.
Here is the martyr Yahya Sinwar in 2019:
“If not for Iran’s support for the resistance in Palestine, we would not have obtained these capabilities [rockets and the technical means to produce homegrown rockets]. Indeed, our [Arab] nation has deserted us in our difficult moments, while Iran has supported us with weapons, equipment and expertise.”
