A woman shouldn't be allowed to get an abortion if the child's father wants to take on parental responsibilities. There's no good reason for a wanted child to be killed when the father is willing and able to raise them. Do you agree with giving fathers veto rights over abortions?

“White nationalist” shouldn’t even be considered an insult. Why can’t European people have nations?

I've seen no good argument from a Christian perspective as to why we should consider all people to be of equal value. Why do Christians keep promoting this equal value idea?

This looks better than the Mona Lisa if we're being honest.

As an artist I find this kind of talk so unrelatable. Is it really so difficult to come up with an idea for a painting or drawing? Is the Mona Lisa groundbreaking? Wow, a woman smiling with a normal pose and landscape behind her. How creative. Anyone can come up with a composition idea for an illustration. It's not hard. If you lack the skills to illustrate something by hand, with AI you can now describe your composition idea and the program can do the illustration for you. I think the real reason so many artistic types hate on AI is because it takes power away from them. You no longer need some smug self-obsessed artists to work with you to bring your vision to life, you can just describe it to Grok imagine. As someone who has more artistic skill than 99.9% of this AI haters, I find it beautiful.

People say it's ripping off a real artist if it looks good even though they can never identify a particular artist that the AI supposedly copied. Human artists draw inspiration and learn technique from other artists as well. So I don't see anything inherently wrong with an AI program that does the same thing to create new art. As someone who has spent many hours on extremely detailed illustrations I very much appreciate that I can use AI to realize an artistic vision within minutes.

"never judge a book by its cover" doesn't even really make sense with literal books. If a book has a disgusting cover, why would you want to read it?

This young woman was raped and murdered by a man named Moises Freire. It's a hispanic name. There are no photos of him to be found anywhere in the media. We know it's not because of his young age. The media had no problem plastering Kyle Rittenhouse's face everywhere. Same with Nicholas Sandman whose offense was simply smiling at a native American. Why is it that the faces of non-white murderers are so often kept hidden?

It's strange how many women think their husband owes them fidelity but they don't owe him sex. A marital vow isn't supposed to be a vow of celibacy.

Lizzie is right that women should be willing to set aside their anger and jealousy and talk to their husband about any struggles he's having with lust. We are supposed to submit to our husband in all things, and as Christians be there to hear each other's confessions. You should be your husband's greatest helper and confidante. First Peter 3 tells the wife to win her husband without a word, by her conduct, and the church has always counseled the husband's repentance and the wife's patience rather than the breaking of the marriage. Many a Christian wife views her husband's lust for other women primarily as an offense against her. It's all about her pride and how she feels disrespected. But adultery is primarily a sin against God, society, and the husband and family of the mistress. Adultery violates another man's marriage in a way that can tear apart his family and insert the adulterous man's child into his home, causing all kinds of dysfunction. The modern wife focuses almost exclusively on her own feelings, putting her pride above what is best for society and her family by divorcing. If a man is struggling with sexual sin, divorcing him is not the solution. That's like trying to punish someone for drinking too much soda by taking away his only source of water. The Bible never actually permits women to divorce their husbands over his sexual immorality. The divorce exception belongs to the husband, alone: Matthew 19:9: "And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery." Historically women generally weren't able to divorce for t5 until 1923, when English law finally let a wife petition on adultery alone. These women who divorce their husband and break up their family over him watching porn, really because it offends them personally, are not at all aligned with traditional Christian ethics and norms, or biblical teachings. The advice to avoid religion and politics in social gatherings is completely backwards. Your value judgments are your religion and politics, so a friendship that asks you to set them aside is a friendship built on hiding who you are. When your friend asks what you think of her impending divorce and you avoid expressing your religious convictions, you haven't been polite. You've lied to her about the most important decision of her life.

On this day in 1793, Marie Antoinette was guillotined by French revolutionaries. But what you think you know about her is a lie — the media turned her into history's greatest scapegoat. After becoming Queen in 1774, Marie Antoinette soon became the target of vicious rumors. Caricatures depicted her as promiscuous, done by her political enemies to discredit her and to erode the authority of what she represented: the monarchy. Over time, French media crafted her reputation as a spendthrift, nicknaming her "Madame Déficit". As France's financial situation worsened, she was unfairly blamed for the country's economic woes. While she did enjoy a degree of luxury, France's financial crisis was rooted in issues well beyond her spending, only a fraction of the royal budget. National debt was ballooning out of control before her time. She was also Austrian by birth. Austria was a historical enemy of France, and tensions between countries escalated in the revolution. French revolutionaries exploited her origins to paint her as a traitor conspiring with foreign powers. In 1785, she was implicated in the infamous Diamond Necklace Affair, a fraudulent purchase of a necklace. She had no involvement at all, but was vilified by the media — even then, one's reputation could easily be destroyed by false accusations. But the most enduring myth is her infamous quote in response to learning that the peasants had no bread: "Let them eat cake." Except she never said it. It's from a story in Rousseau's 1782 "Confessions". Still, the myth became powerful propaganda. As the Revolution gained momentum, she was to be the face of an oppressive system: the Ancien Régime. In 1793, she faced a show trial on charges of treason, such as conspiring with foreign powers (like Austria) to undermine the revolution. At trial, the most shocking accusation of all came: incest and abuse of her 8-year-old son. The young Louis had been captured and beaten by revolutionaries to testify against his mother. That such an accusation was ever believed speaks to the hysteria of the revolution. Stripped of all remaining humanity, Marie Antoinette was sentenced to death. And yet, she faced it with remarkable dignity. Her last words were these: "Pardon me, sir, I didn't do it on purpose." Uttered to her executioner after accidentally stepping on his foot while walking to the guillotine.

The outrage from conservatives about trans athletes ruining women’s sports is actually a bit absurd, because traditionally in Western societies competitive sports was seen as a domain that belonged to men. Women started entering competitive sports in real numbers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Women’s singles began at Wimbledon in 1884, women first competed at the Olympics in 1900 in events like tennis and golf, and track and field plus gymnastics were added in 1928. This was part of the progressive movement toward greater gender equality and public participation for women. Traditionalists and conservatives of that era were strongly opposed. G.K. Chesterton wrote: “Even a savage could see that bodily things, at least, which are good for a man are very likely to be bad for a woman. Yet there is no boy’s game, however brutal, which these mild lunatics have not promoted among girls.” Others argued it would lead to immodesty and unladylike behavior, and that it put too much stress on young women’s bodies in ways that could cause infertility or other health problems. That last objection actually has some validity. Competitive female athletes, especially in endurance and aesthetic sports, often experience menstrual disruption or loss of periods, hormonal issues, and related problems linked to low energy availability. These can temporarily affect fertility and increase risks to bone health. And we’ve all seen how immodest female athletes dress these days, and how even women just going to their local gym often wear extremely revealing skin-tight outfits that leave nothing to the imagination. Why should we as conservatives be trying to protect women's sports? Why not let the progressive movement eat itself? Just keep your girls out of these masculine games that they were never meant to play.

I bet a lot of women would stare and feel uncomfortable if men started dressing this way at the gym too.
