Alan Wake 2: The Lake House is the most scathing and indignant critique portraying the absurdity of machines and generative AI replacing the creative process. Slight spoilers for the story: The scientists can’t understand why even a bad writer like Alan Wake can evoke emotions and fame when a room full of automated typewriters that produce LLM style writing seem to only produce content with disastrous, self destructive and dehumanizing consequences.
