I'm just not big on how Satoshi tells his stories, with Perfect Blue, it's ok, but I feel like the film explains itself, which kinda brings down the intrigue I would've had if it was a bit more mysterious

The movie lacks any sort of draw of interest for me. The characters are flat, and all the weird stuff in the film doesn't do anything but stand-in as visual replacement for the normal and mundane, leading to it feeling dull. Some of the shots were really cool, though
