This channel is here to inform those inside and outside to trans community, not to smooth feathers and mince words.
The word Transgender is often used by the GOP to blur lines between us, and confuse cross dressing with transition.
IMHO Transgender is like the word "love". Over used and under defined. Tell me how you define transsexual / transgender.
This is a healthy debate on terminology. We do however need to better define these words if we want others to understand us. Opinions?
I am transsexual. I was transgender when they made me present as a boy. Now I am just another woman.
Transgender: Presented sex does not match internal gender. Transsexuals are forced to be transgender by default
Transsexual: Brain and body sex do not match. Transition alligns sex and gender so we can be like most men and women.
Laverne Cox is transsexual, but not transgender. Her internal gender and external presentation match. That makes her just another woman.
