15 YEARS CLEAN! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน๐Ÿ’ช November 7, 2011 โ€“ November 7, 2026 Today is a milestone I once thought was impossible. Hi, my name is Alex, and as of today, November 7, 2026, I am the incredibly proud owner of 15 YEARS CLEAN FROM METHAMPHETAMINE! That's 15 years of choosing recovery, one day at a time. And believe me, there was a time when putting together seven clean days seemed harder than climbing Mount Everest barefoot. For someone who once couldn't imagine making it through a single week without getting high, standing here 15 years later is nothing short of a miracle. I didn't just get clean. I got a second chance at life. Let me tell you something about the person I used to be. I was a liar, a cheat, a thief, a deadbeat dad, a selfish individual, and someone who would do just about anything to feed an addiction that had completely taken over my life. I burned bridges, destroyed relationships, broke promises, and hurt people who loved me. I wasn't living. I was simply existing, one high at a time. But here's the beautiful thing about recovery: Your past doesn't have to be your permanent address. Today, I have a heart that actually feels for others. I have compassion, sympathy, integrity, accountability, and something I once knew very little about: self-respect. Today, I'm a father who shows up. I'm a real friend. I'm someone whose word actually means something. I'm far from perfect, but I'm no longer the person I used to be. And perhaps the greatest gift of all? I can look in the mirror today and actually respect the man looking back at me. I owe so much of this transformation to my Higher Power and the gift of recovery. Something I knew absolutely nothing about when I walked through those doors, something that was freely given to me by people who wanted nothing in return except to see me get better. Think about that. The most valuable thing I have ever received in my life didn't cost me a single penny. But it required me to change everything. Addiction is a disease, and nobody wakes up one morning hoping to lose control of their life, destroy their family, or become a prisoner to a substance. Addiction doesn't ask permission before taking the wheel. And before you know it, you're a passenger in your own destruction. But recovery taught me something addiction never could: I have choices. I have purpose. And I have a life worth protecting. To anyone out there struggling today, please hear me when I say this: You are not alone. You are not beyond help. And no matter how many bridges you've burned or how far you've fallen, there is still a better way. Be willing to listen. Be willing to learn. Be willing to change. And most importantly, be willing to accept help from someone who has already walked the road you're trying to escape. You don't have to figure it all out today. You just have to make a decision about today. Fifteen years ago, I couldn't put seven days together. Today, I've put together fifteen years. Not because I'm stronger than anyone else. Not because I'm special. But because I finally became willing to do something different. I didn't get my old life back through recovery. I built a life I never thought I deserved or could have. And if a guy like me can turn his life around, believe me, there's hope for anybody. Today, I celebrate 15 years clean, but I haven't forgotten where I came from, the people I hurt, the people who helped me, or the ones who never made it out. To those still struggling, keep fighting. To those in recovery, keep showing up. And to those we've lost along the way, you will never be forgotten. 15 YEARS CLEAN. ONE DAY AT A TIME. AND STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS. Because the greatest thing about recovery isn't just that I stopped using drugs. It's that I finally started living. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน๐Ÿ™ Experience, Strength & Hope. WE DO RECOVER! ๐Ÿ’ชโค๏ธ #15YearsClean #RecoveryIsPossible #MethRecovery #OneDayAtATime #WeDoRecover #ExperienceStrengthAndHope #CleanSince2011

A longtime friend of 20-year-old Nathalia Filgueiras, the co-pilot killed in a Florida plane crash on Sunday, is remembering her as โ€œsunshineโ€ and praising how she remained calm and communicated with air traffic control as the plane went down. Mikaela Schluth, who had known Filgueiras since middle school, tells @cbenavidesTV listening to the recordings of her friend's final moments was โ€œprobably the worst thing I've ever heard.โ€ But she said she was proud of how Filgueiras handled the emergency, staying composed and providing information until the very end.

A 72-year-old woman hit a $2.55 MILLION jackpot on a slot machine at an Atlantic City casino. Other players celebrated and called her a millionaire. Then security arrived, the machine displayed an error message, and the casino offered her $350 instead. โ€“ Roney Beal was a regular casino visitor from Shamong Township, New Jersey. โ€“ On February 25, 2024, she visited Ballyโ€™s Casino in Atlantic City and started playing a Wheel of Fortune slot machine. โ€“ She had already put hundreds of dollars into the machine. โ€“ Suddenly, the machine announced that she was a winner. Gold coins appeared on the screen. โ€“ The jackpot showed more than $1.27 MILLION. โ€“ But she had also hit a 2x multiplier, which brought the total to $2,555,908.70. โ€“ Another player standing nearby celebrated and told her she was a millionaire. โ€“ Beal was excited. She believed she had just won the money that could change her life. โ€“ She pressed the service button to call an attendant. โ€“ Thatโ€™s when things changed. โ€“ Security personnel arrived, and the machine displayed a message reading โ€œREEL TILT.โ€ โ€“ Casino employees told her the machine had malfunctioned and that she had not actually won the jackpot. โ€“ An attendant then opened the machine, pushed several buttons and spun the reels again. โ€“ Beal objected to what the employee was doing. She later accused casino staff of interfering with the machine before anyone else could independently inspect it. โ€“ The casino eventually told her that her actual winnings were only around $350. โ€“ She refused to accept that as the answer and hired attorney Michael DiCroce. โ€“ Beal filed a lawsuit against Ballyโ€™s and the slot machine manufacturer, International Game Technology, seeking the jackpot she believed she had won. โ€“ Her lawyer argued that the casino should preserve the machine and its surveillance footage so independent experts could investigate what happened. โ€“ Ballyโ€™s referred questions to IGT, while IGT said it was cooperating with the investigation. โ€“ In August 2025, a federal judge ordered the lawsuit to be put on hold while New Jersey gaming regulators completed their investigation. โ€“ The judge did NOT rule that Beal had lost her case. The lawsuit was administratively terminated, not dismissed. Roney Beal went to a casino, watched a slot machine announce a $2.55 MILLION jackpot, celebrated with other players, and then watched the casino turn around and tell her she had won just $350.
