Sometimes we come across as part of the furniture in conference halls...
Meanwhile, real humans need real humans to make communication possible both online and on site. If you can, consider volunteering with @discocoop!
Volunteer translators and interpreters are needed both on the field and online environments to help communication and support the search & rescue and emergency response efforts for the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria.
Help us spread the word! π

There is living the stories and telling the stories π
So much happened in the past years. From dancing in the streets, planting gardens, to building local commons and DAOs.
Bringing life. Building connections. Practicing community. β¨ππΌ β at Schaarbeek, BelgiΓ«
We've been asked to write a story about how to make citizens participate more in our democracy.
We thought we would write instead about what actually happens when citizens do participate (spoiler: not always what the institutions expect). #citizenspring

ALT The Citizen Garden in front of our house that got taken away by the commune.
ALT Citizens from the neighborhood came to bring plants and flowers after the Citizen Garden went missing.
ALT Local citizens in front of the Citizen Bike Garden that they built together. A bike shed, a garden and a board to communicate with neighbors.
ALT The commune took away the Citizen Bike Garden (and eventually replaced it with a metallic one-size-fits-all bike shed)
