⚠️ We urge Parliament to back DL 16043 on single-judge consideration by HACC of civil & administrative cases
MPs twice failed to put it on agenda. The reform is linked to €120M under Ukraine Facility, easing judges’ workload & speeding up confiscations

1/2 ❗Parliament again failed to put 2 key EU integration draft laws on agenda:
DL No.16043 on single-judge HACC consideration
DL No.16018 + its alternative on High Qualification Commission of Judges/High Council of Justice selection
📌 Both affect funding & anti-corruption reforms
2/3
🔹DL 16043 would speed up civil forfeiture & sanctions confiscation cases at HACC and ease judges’ workload 👉cutt.ly/QyYYFVYq
🔹DL 16018 could improve HQCJ/HCJ selection with a decisive role for international experts 👉cutt.ly/uyYYG1OL
1/2 ❗️ Parliament’s Law Enforcement Committee is again advancing Draft Law No. 10242.
If adopted, it could allow law enforcement to surveil journalists and their sources for using corruption-related information from closed databases. Penalties could reach 8 years in prison.
2/2 The DL won’t stop illegal data trading but could silence sources & deter media from publishing public-interest information.
MPs also dropped provisions on Lozovyi amendments and SAPO powers.
