As Pink October comes to a close, our commitment to breast cancer awareness, early detection, and inclusive healthcare for everyone must continue beyond the pink ribbons. Breast cancer does not stop when October ends, and neither should our efforts. Let us continue sharing accurate information, encouraging regular breast health awareness, challenging stigma, supporting those affected, and advocating for accessible, respectful, and inclusive healthcare for everyone. At TNU, we believe every body matters, every life deserves care, and everyone deserves access to healthcare without discrimination. “October may end, but the commitment to awareness, prevention, early detection, and solidarity continues.” #BreastCancerAwareness #BeyondPinkOctober #InclusiveHealthcare #EveryBodyMatters #TranzNetworkUganda

A stronger @UNAIDS must deliver for countries and communities: funded community leadership, human rights and safe access to care. My article reflects on this next chapter, and the programme countries helping sustain UNAIDS. #UNAIDS #CommunityLeadership

Taking care of your breast health starts with knowing your body, recognising unusual changes, and understanding your screening options. Don’t wait for symptoms to learn about your health. Speak to a qualified health professional today about the appropriate screening for you. Know. Ask. Act. #PinkOctober #BreastHealthAwareness #HealthEducation #EarlyDetection #TranzNetworkUganda

Today ,26 October 2026 marks Intersex Awareness Day. Between 0.05% and 1.7% of the world’s population is intersex, a number some people say is comparable to the world’s population that has red hair(yess!) Intersex is an umbrella term used to describe a range of variations that can affect genitals, gonads, hormones, chromosomes, or reproductive organs. There are at least 40 known intersex variations. To all Intersex folks, ViVa!! this #Intersexawarenessday #Bodiesbeyondexpectations

Knowing what is normal for your body can help you recognise unusual changes early. Always look out for new lumps, swelling, skin changes, or unusual nipple discharge, and seek medical advice if you notice anything different or concerning. Your health deserves attention. Your body deserves care. #PinkOctober #BreastHealth #EarlyDetection #TranzNetworkUganda

Call for Applications Are you a womxn looking to strengthen your skills, grow your business, explore a new income-generating opportunity, or build a pathway towards greater economic independence? This is your opportunity! Our Skills Development Programme supports womxn to access practical skills, hands-on training, and opportunities that strengthen their economic autonomy, livelihoods, and financial independence. The programme recognises that womxn have different talents, aspirations, and economic realities. It aims to create opportunities for womxn to develop skills they can use to secure employment, start or grow businesses, generate income, and build sustainable livelihoods on their own terms. We particularly encourage womxn who face barriers to economic opportunities and access to resources to apply. Through this initiative, we seek to support womxn to build confidence, strengthen their capacities, and access pathways towards greater economic security and self-determination. Applicants are invited to complete this form accurately and select the skills development area that best aligns with their interests, needs, and aspirations. Spaces are limited, and interested applicants are encouraged to apply early. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection. We look forward to supporting womxn to build their skills, pursue their aspirations, and strengthen their economic independence. Gender-affirming care is not elective. It is primary healthcare, and in Uganda, it does not exist. Not in the public sector. Not even in the private sector. The gap forces people to self-medicate with unregulated products, unsupervised and at serious risk. This episode makes the clinical case, the human rights case, and the policy case. It is the most direct conversation Turn the Tables has about what a functioning health system for trans people in Uganda must look like — and how far we are from building one. Today, We celebrate the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of rural women farmers who feed our communities, nurture the land, and protect Mother Nature. Rural women are at the heart of sustainable agriculture, food security, and climate resilience, yet their contributions often go unrecognized. It’s time to champion their leadership, promote gender equality, and ensure they have access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need and deserve. Let’s empower rural women, so we can nurture communities and protect our planet. #InternationalDayOfRuralWomen @awdf01 @unwomenafrica @FemnetProg @UnesoUganda @awacuganda @AIDSFondet #RuralWomenFarmers #ClimateJustice #GenderJustice #SustainableAgriculture #AmaniYouthFoundation

Safer online. Stronger together. TNU completed 12 peer-led Cyber Learning Circles, recording 360 participant attendances. The sessions covered online privacy, secure messaging, strong passwords, two-factor authentication, social-media safety, doxxing and incident planning. In a challenging digital environment, practical knowledge can help communities communicate, organise and advocate more safely. @UNAIDS @UNAIDS_ESA @UNAIDS_UG #PCBspecial #CyberLearningCircles #DigitalSafety #CommunityProtection #TNU
