What an absolute plank. The MP not the businessman.
A multi millionaire property tycoon moaning at paying staff an increased minimum wage. Greed.

More evidence of foolishness of Net Zero It always needs backup So costs will always be higher
Have policymakers in the EU, the UK and US states never heard of El Hierro? A small island with 11,000 residents and plenty of wind. An ideal testing ground for the promise of 100% renewable electricity, before making millions of people depend on it. They installed wind turbines with more than twice the island’s average electricity demand in capacity, plus pumped hydro storage. Yet in 2025, this system supplied just 44% of its electricity. Diesel supplied the rest. @mhtncontrarian explains why: during prolonged periods of low wind, the upper reservoir empties. Then the diesel generators have to take over. If this setup cannot deliver on its promise on a small, windy island, why are politicians so confident it will work on a vastly larger scale? They keep pushing ahead, with millions of people’s electricity supply at stake.

Broughty Ferry deserves so much better.
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation. We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border. I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given. More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank. It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity. But we were prevented from doing so. I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

Selfish twat.
SNP Depute leader Keith Brown - “every single penny” from the UK Government’s new energy wealth fund “should be spent on Scotland’s renewables future”, not English nuclear news.stv.tv/north/snp-says-u…

I suggest we put it to the test.
Well, if PM Burnham is thinking of a snap election, this poll is unlikely to discourage him!!

Hell of a lot of whataboutery in the replies.
💥 Scotland’s hidden army of public sector ‘ghost workers’ whose jobs no longer exist but cannot be made redundant. 💰Staff have spent as long as 17 years on full pay without a fixed job, costing taxpayers tens of millions. thetimes.com/article/c654f4a…

SNP? Surprised? Absolutely not.
Major investigation from The Sunday Times - the Scottish state is paying a minimum of £27m a year to around 800 public sector workers, in the NHS, councils, police etc who do not have a job, but they cannot be made redundant owing to SNP policy thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

The Scottish Government needs to get out of the way of local councils, and let them get on with attracting investment and jobs. Blocked yet again, the council first approved this project 8 years ago!
SNP Ministers have scuppered the Coul Links golf course near Dornoch. A major development that would have added £12m a year to the local economy of East Sutherland and created 400 new jobs. Coul Links was overwhelmingly support by the local community. This was the wrong decision and yet another example of Edinburgh Ministers running roughshod over Highland communities.

As long as China and India are building coal fired power stations at pace, you can take your whinging and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
We are in a climate emergency & yet the government just approved Jackdaw. As Green MPs, we've tabled an Early Day Motion calling on the Government to keep fossil fuels in the ground (including Rosebank) and to focus on things that would actually lower bills & create secure jobs.

Would that be the political minion who surrounded herself with a very effective PR team. Who spent more time pushing gender bollox than anything else. Also adept at deleting incriminating WhatsApp messages.
Nicola Sturgeon has subtly expressed her opposition to the Jackdaw approval (that the SNP and John Swinney aren’t opposing) by retweeting a blog which is firmly against it The SNP’s shift towards oil and gas not universally welcomed within the party

Idiot.
Jackdaw will create 27 jobs but will cause 8000 deaths from extreme heat. Jackdaw won’t save you a penny on energy bills but will cause £16 billion of climate damage, like more wildfires and droughts. A great day for fossil fuel bosses, not for anyone else.

Hypocrisy on stilts. Always someone else to blame. You're a net zero nutcase.
🧵 I hope today’s announcement on Jackdaw will provide some certainty for the North East after many years of difficulty thanks to UK Government policy. It must also kickstart a renewed drive to deliver our long-standing clean energy ambitions.
