AJ Dybantsa is the future, Anthony Davis is the legend, but when it comes to the Wizards potential success this season Trae Young is the engine that can turn development into winning by unlocking his basketball Superpower. troyhaliburton.substack.com/…

Still waiting on the Wizards and the John Wall announcement 👀
The Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 11 are retiring the No. 1 jersey of Muggsy Bogues, the shortest player in NBA history at 5-foot-3. Bogues spent 10 of his 14 NBA seasons in Charlotte (1988-1998) and is the franchise leader in assists, steals and minutes.

Being in the middle after 3 years of tanking….with a team that’s only played 4 games together and still have a #1 overall pick to add. What a beautiful thing man

An old fashioned gamer article from me. No macro big picture view, just evaluating what happened on the court last night. “The Wizards Have the Right Idea. Now they Have to Make it Work.” troyhaliburton.substack.com/…

If you took someone from a parallel universe and showed them my feed, they would’ve thought the Wizards were a favorite to win the Finals Are y’all good? 😂

The Wizards definitely need to figure out a way to start these games with more energy, but the one thing I can say definitively is this team’s base-line for production is very high with how they play. They’ll be competitive in almost lot of basketball games this year.

every new thing we learn about this situation is just a reminder of how people treated this league for a very long time. they're still playing catchup to their own popularity. wild.

Begs the question why it wasn’t just moved when they rescheduled 3 & 4. Was everyone confident the series would end in 5 lol Or they were fine playing at Gateway for Game 6. And if that’s the case just play at Gateway. The decision not to address Game 6 at the time is odd.

I’ve heard from several NBA executives about this situation today. The general sentiment is that NBA games can be moved, but it’s extremely difficult two days in advance. There’s employees to schedule, tickets to sell, travel and player health to consider. A few weeks ago, it would have been a lot easier to move a game to Cleveland or from Thursday to Friday (creating back-to-backs for both teams). But last minute is very challenging.

In a world that doesn’t uplift strong, motivating, black fathers…I’m shining the light on mine because I wouldn’t be who I am today without him. Being poured into on a daily, means more to me than any acknowledgment from strangers. How can I be a disappointment when this is who raised me? ❤️

Wizards guard Trae Young has dished out 34 assists in the first three games of the season. He ties John Wall (2016-17) for the second-most through three games in Wizards history, only behind Michael Adams (39 in 1991-92). #ForTheDistrict

Trae Young really has elevated the Wizards floor as a team simply by organizing the offense and getting guys involved. He put the Wizards in position where they were constantly creating mismatches and kept the Bulls on their heels. Real point guard work.
