I’m making Coldline with my students, and some of my favorite moments are seeing what they’ve made and thinking, “Wow, that’s really good.” Their ideas, hard work, and creativity are everywhere in this game. They find solutions I hadn’t thought of, challenge ideas I was sure about, and surprise me with what they can do. Sometimes we go back and forth for ages. I learn a lot from those conversations, too. We also get tired. We lose motivation, get stuck, and get frustrated with each other sometimes. Everyone has their own responsibilities and things going on outside the game. I know it takes effort to keep showing up. Sometimes I sit down to work on Coldline just to get a little distance from everyday worries. Then someone shares something new, we start talking, and I find myself getting excited again. Their enthusiasm has helped me through difficult days. Coldline brings together their hard work and creativity with my passion for this project. I’m proud of my students, grateful for everything they put into it, and happy we get to make this game together. I want to start sharing more of these moments here, while they’re still fresh. -@BulutonSculpts
