No changes to Martinsville tires for all three national series. For Cup, these are the tires used at Martinsville, North Wilkesboro, Richmond and New Hampshire (and right sides were used at Phoenix two weeks ago). Also have wet weather tires to race in the damp.

Two things from NASCAR:
1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)
2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.

3️⃣ Kyle Larson refused to lose. Shuffled back on the final lap, he rocketed from EIGHTH off Turn 4 to FIRST at the stripe with a push from Ross Chastain, winning by 0.04 seconds.
His first Cup superspeedway win couldn’t have come at a bigger moment.

After an afternoon of fuel strategy, pack racing and championship pressure, Talladega saved its wildest moment for the finish.

2️⃣ The Big Ones finally arrived. A 12-car wreck in Stage 2 caught Blaney and Reddick; later, a 15-car pileup sent Joey Logano upside down and collected more Chase contenders.
What started as a fuel-mileage chess match became championship survival.

1️⃣ Fuel saving stole the show early. NASCAR tweaked the Talladega package to promote harder racing, yet the field crawled around saving gas. RFK Racing broke away by 25+ seconds and swept Stage 1, with Chris Buescher taking the win.
