⚖️TEACHER Rights in TEXAS:
"Public schools cannot restrict teachers’ speech when they speak as a citizen on a matter of public concern, even when teachers identify themselves as school employees."

GINA HINOJOSA for TX GOVERNOR👇
So here is the Jackwagon @GregAbbott is cramming down Houston ISD's throat as the new Superintendent. He's a charter school proponent, already threatening to close down local school/ voting locations and left Dallas ISD in a giant mess when he was there.

What happens during a State Takeover,
is 100% on Greg Abbott's shoulders.
Misuse of Funds. Risks to Student Safety.
Anti-Semitism in Texas' largest School District.
It is all on the shoulders of Greg Abbott
(who appointed & oversees Morath & Miles).
A #HISD student is now in police custody
after bringing a gun to Hogg Middle School
in the historic Greater Heights area.
Houston ISD's uncertified superintendent Mike Miles (appointed via a State Takeover) has not made himself available to the press to comment directly.
Student in custody after gun discovered at Hogg Middle School, Houston ISD says abc13.com/story/student-cust…
It's unknown if Mike Miles is in Houston this week, or if he's currently running Texas' largest school district (assigned to him via Greg Abbott's state-takeover) remotely today from Colorado where his Charter School Network is based (which has been receiving Texas contracts to expand his Charter Network).

Antisemitism in Texas schools?
HISD is operationally under the
control of Abbott & Morath.
Abbott's office = notified (see below).
@HoustonISD HR & Chief Legal Counsel = notified.
Rather than investigate, HISD is threatening to Terminate the Whistleblower. @PinOakMS
Because a Texas public school district is a government (state) employer, employees do not lose their First Amendment rights simply by working for the public.

A vote for Gina Hinojosa
is a vote to end this harmful
state takeover of HISD.
"Firing the two Mikes won’t fix everything that ails our public schools. But it'll help."

Democratic challenger Vikki Goodwin remains outspent by incumbent Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and unknown to nearly half the electorate in the campaign’s final stretch. Yet she narrowly led in a poll conducted earlier this month. bit.ly/4zqPFBa

Plenty of political polls out there.
It still comes down to voting.
In Texas, early voting by personal appearance begins on Monday, October 19, and it ends on October 30.

Thank you @RolandsMartin for the follow!
For anyone not familiar with Roland S. Martin, he attended Jack Yates High School (#HISD), and even though he is a major media personality & known journalist, he's always remembered his Houston roots!
