Unserious Organization. Banking on a 33 year old WR who’s already hurt, a rookie WR with 0 career catches coming off a major injury, DROB, Deebo, and Jacob fricking Cowing 😂
Matt Maiocco believes the 49ers are done trading for big name players. He does see them going after a Keion White type of player on defense
Maiocco also said he thinks they will not trade for a WR since Mike Evans, Demarcus Robinson, Deebo Samuel, and De'Zhaun Stribling are all due back from injuries within the next month or so

I believe the opposite. Teams with elite DTs are harder to run on, and great pass rushing DTs are harder to escape from. They get to QBs quicker & make it harder to step up
The last 5, debatably 7 championship defenses were anchored by a superstar DT. Simmons has a chance to be the next…

Everybody must have amnesia. Every season we get our hearts grow because we rely on injury, prone players that are old and every year we get disappointed you would think as a fan base and as a franchise, we would do something about that. This is insanity.

Assuming this WR group stays healthy makes zero sense. They lost 6 WR in 6 weeks!!

Pivoting from Deforest Buckner to Jeffrey Simmons is like if the girl at the bar gave you a fake number so you slid into Sydney Sweeney’s DMs and she actually responded
Is Buckner enough?

Buckner 100% improves the defense, but he does not “dramatically change” it lol. He is another pass rushing complimentary piece to what we’ve been building, someone who would’ve *changed* the defense would’ve been Vita Vea (a massive run gap plugger)

Finally agree with you on something. We NEVER hit on firsts. CMC, Trent, Warner, Kittle all deserve one more real shot at winning the whole thing. We got our long time QB locked up, he and Shanny will be able to mask a lot of the issues that may come up after trading the 1sts.
JOHN LYNCH - LISTEN TO THIS. GARRET WILSON CAN BE BOUGHT, GO GET HIM
The BTS of how the Jeffery Simmons deal came together, according to multiple league sources.
Having checked in with the Titans several times over the last couple weeks, the message was he’s not available. But this is a reminder, as one team said: “Everyone has a price.”
The reality is that these two GMs — Mike Borgonzi and Ryan Poles — know each other from their days together in Kansas City.
The Bears, according to multiple sources, made a push for DeForest Buckner as well, but didn’t feel comfortable with the draft capital Indy wanted.
Instead, they then pivoted to arguably the best DT in football in Simmons, with the feeling that he changes the entire complexion of the defense and makes them a bona fide Super Bowl threat.
After hearing from as many as 3 other teams inquiring on Simmons, the Titans simply felt that Chicago’s offer had reached a price where “we could not say no anymore.”
That’s when this thing became serious, and that’s why it happened so quickly.

Don’t get me wrong DeFo for a 4th rounder is amazing. My issue is we are ALWAYS bargain bin shoppers. I want to be the team that takes SWINGS like Seattle who just got someone who is the BEST at their position. Not get someone on their last legs and praying they stay healthy so they can be productive at the tail end of their career. I’m happy to have Buckner, but if this is the biggest move, this team isn’t serious about winning a Super Bowl.
