Congratulations to students who received the 2022 Charles G. Will Emerging Writers Award. Alumni from the Class of 1959 have an established fund with UA+Ed to remember this beloved teacher and classmates who have passed by celebrating future generations of Golden Bears.
UA+Ed is a proud supporter of this talented journalistic group. The Arlingtonian was just named Ohio Scholastic Media Association’s #1 student newsmagazine in the state and its website, arlingtonian.com, received the all-state Ohio award. CONGRATS! @UAarlingtonian

Dear UA Schools administrators, educators, staff, parents, board of education, community members and alumni,
Thanks for focusing on what matters most.
Upper Arlington High Schools loves Ferris, the facility dog. Funding for our new furry friend came from a UA+Ed grant.
It's Random Acts of Kindness Day! Students in Greensview Elementary School's Kindness Squad celebrate kindness all year (Materials provided by a UA+Ed grant.)
School is FUN when you enjoy Spring Fling at Hastings Middle School. Jones Middle School celebrated with a Spring Fling, too. Students danced, played games and enjoyed being together. (UA+Ed partnered with PTOs to fund these events in 2021.)
Next time you are in the new high school, check out the kiosk on Golden Bear Boulevard. It is full of archived information about some of the amazing achievements of Golden Bears over the decades.
Have you seen the new mini-art gallery in Sunny 95 Park? Take a walk and see rotating art installations created by students. (This project was made possible with a partnership between the city, the school district, and UA+Ed.)
The UA+Ed invites you to use the link on the homepage of our website to send messages of thanks to teachers and staff. We will share your gratitude and deliver it with a sweet treat. uaeducationfoundation.com/

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, word finally reached Texas that all people who remained enslaved in confederate states were declared legally free. The anniversary of this moment of jubilation is referred to as Juneteenth.

One of my colleagues found a little slice of @ua_highschool history - biology science notebook from 1936-37!!! My students loved looking through it and were amazed at the neat writing and detailed drawings. I’m going to have to step up my own notebooks!😉 @UA_Schools
