At 9:39pm on Tuesday night in Tottenham, four masked men in hoods and gloves crept into the front garden of a family home. When the mum came to the window, two of them ducked down and hid under it. One then walked straight up to the front door and put his gloved hand on it. They only ran when she screamed from the hallway. Police told her they probably thought a man was coming to the door. She says she’s been followed and targeted and doesn’t feel safe in her own home. This is the second time strangers have been at her door. Heartbreaking scenes in Uxbridge this morning 😭 Strong winds tore bricks and roof tiles off a house and sent them crashing onto the van parked below. The windscreen is smashed and the roof and side are caved in. A tree on the pavement outside has already been cut up and stacked, which shows how rough the wind has been. A 27-year-old woman has been charged after a police officer was shot in the foot at a UK city centre bus stop in the early hours of Sunday 18 October. Aisha Zaman is charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, said in court to be an adapted shotgun, and possession of that firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence. The officer, named in court as PC Lee Lane, was shot after approaching two people at the bus stop at around 4:50am. He remains in hospital in a stable condition and has had several surgeries. Zaman appeared before magistrates on Friday and was remanded in custody. She is due at Crown Court on 20 November. Residents were left rushing to move their cars last night after flames burst out of the pavement on Lady Margaret Road, Southall. Not the tour anyone booked… A Golden Tours open-top bus hit a stand selling sightseeing tickets and souvenirs on Spring Gardens, just off Trafalgar Square, at around 12:30pm today. The bus was reportedly turning left by The Admiralty pub when it collided with the stand. Police called it a damage-only collision, London Ambulance Service said there were no reported injuries, and fire crews from Euston, Paddington and Chelsea attended. The area was cordoned off for nearly five hours while the bus was removed. Golden Tours says it is investigating what happened.
