Another example of the Labour government's drive to hush up anything that might lose them votes

“ They lined up to fete him. George Monbiot, the Guardian’s environmental campaigner, hailed him as a “ hero of 2014” , and the best thing that has happened to the left in years. “ Ed Miliband went to his home in 2015 to record a podcast. “ Andy Burnham defended him from claims of hypocrisy and urged him to “ keep going”. Caroline Lucas commended him for “ rattling people’s cages” in Parliament. “ He received eulogies, and guest editorships from leading left-wing magazines and newspapers. “ Not to mention praise from luvvies like Paul Weller.” Who was Sunday Times columnist Matthew Syed talking about? You’re right. Russell Brand. The left loves a turd. And it’s that judgment which is now running the UK into the ground.

Russell Brand, according to the judge, can expect a lengthy sentence for rape. I see back in 2015 @LucyMPowell you reposted this X post with glee about Brand endorsing Labour. You hate people talking about Pakistani 🇵🇰 rape gangs, it seems you care nothing for women & girls.

Narrator, "Nadia voted against a rape gang inquiry aiming to help those who bravely reported abuse but were ignored by the system."
Solidarity with every woman who bravely reported, endured the long wait for trial, and gave evidence in court against Russell Brand. Especially those who did not receive justice today. Everyone with a basic understanding of the criminal justice system knows that just because the verdict was "not guilty", it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. All we know is that the jury could not be certain “beyond all reasonable doubt”. I want to say directly to the victims: thank you and I believe you. Millions of us do.

Nick Robinson tried the old “you sound like Tommy Robinson” line on Nick Timothy over his comments calling mass Islamic prayer in Trafalgar Square an “act of domination”. It didn’t work. Robinson pressed him on @BBCPolitics about the posts and Timothy stood firm, calmly making the case. Robinson had nothing substantive to push back with, so he pivoted to “perception” and how the way Timothy said it supposedly made him sound like Tommy Robinson. Specifically: “Do you accept that’s an incredibly crude way to get across a rather subtle message and that in the process of doing it you may have allowed yourself to sound like Tommy Robinson?” Timothy’s response: “I think that’s absurd to be honest.” Robinson had nowhere left to go. The attack failed because Timothy explained his position rationally and Robinson had no real argument, so he reached for the clearly scripted smear he thinks still works. Truly pathetic. That might have worked ten years ago. It doesn’t now. People know who @TRobinsonNewEra is, what he’s done, and how he’s been stitched up by the system. Using his name as a lazy shut-down is stupid and transparent. Most see straight through it.

Says a woman who's part of a government that blatantly ignored the 7 pillars of safeguarding after the 7 year long Alexis Jay Inquiry, costing £186,6 million in tax payer funding, involving hundreds of hours of heartbreaking testimony from survivors at the hand of Pakistani led children rape gangs. A decades old phenomenon that Labour are too weak to challenge Is this in case you lose voters? This is pathetic grandstanding about one white man.

I see John Lewis has quietly re-edited its Christmas ad in the hope nobody will notice. Gone: the scenes of the feral grandkids misbehaving. Gone: the useless, gormless looking parents. It’s too late, guys. We've all seen the original. Deleting is cheating. #JohnLewisChristmas

And I’m sure Nadia and millions of others stand in solidarity with all the victims of the rape gang cover-up too. You know, those who were, and still are, being raped and sexually assaulted while her party turned a blind eye and helped cover it up.
