The Benin Trust is a charity with £62,580 income.
In 2025 it assigned at least 90 sponsorship certificates for unpaid youth and community worker roles.
Charity Commission (to Oct 2025):
4 trustees
26 volunteers
How did they get 90 Certificates?
It is no longer on the sponsor register.
Now three days in a row over £30m spend in balancing the grid.
Surely this is not sustainable?

Over £30m two days in a row provisionally to balance the grid.

HMRC's tax debt fell from 5.6% of tax receipts in 2022-23 to 4.7% in 2025-26, the NAO reports.
But 8.2 million taxpayers still owed £43.8bn at the end of 2025-26, and HMRC does not expect to reach the former minister's 2.5% target until after 2030-31.

The Environment Agency reported £2.263bn gross expenditure and 13,419 average FTE staff in 2025/26.
Yet the official watchdog found it committed a “serious failure to comply with environmental law” over sewage overflows.
This is what taxpayers are funding. 🧵
The EA does essential work, and gross expenditure is not the same as waste.
But this is a £2.263bn body with 13,419 average FTE, an official serious environmental-law failure and a flood-delivery forecast cut by 40%.
Taxpayers are entitled to ask: is this value for money?
